I’m looking for a Bosch CX (gen 5) equipped hardtail for my wife. If I can find a new-ish used one, all the better. Needs to be reasonably light, not too high a stand over height. Isn’t going to be hucked off anything, strictly XC-style riding. Don’t need a dropper post.

I might ride it myself occasionally as an XC alternative to my Whyte Evo RS. I’m keen to stick with the Bosch ecosystem as I understand it, have a local engineer and it’s plenty good enough.

Budget up to £2.5k. What bikes should I be looking at and why?

My wife has the Trek Powerfly hardtail with the Bosch Gen4 CX small size. I would say that the resell value is around $3K CDN. I did add a better dropper and a few bells and whistles. Not much though. The colour was the most important feature …very critical. 👍🏻

It’s not for sale but maybe that gives you a benchmark for a used one.
