Who makes your bike stand? Also, how do you like your cx50? I’ve been looking for a hybrid to eventually replace our forester. The forester only gets about 27 mpg.

I loved my Kona Hybrid till yesterday not missed a beat in nearly 2 years. Wouldn't respond to any of the fobs yesterday. AA couldn't do anything so recovered to dealer, up to 3 weeks before they can look at it
MetalTek makes the stand. Doesn’t replace a proper service stand but I like it better than a wheel stand because you can pedal the bike while on it. I keep my bike in my apartment so a cool stand helps the situation not look too horrible.
I’m really a BMW guy but challenged myself to find the least expensive vehicle I’d like. The CX50 Turbo fit the bill. I will say the Turbo with 20” rims rides very firm, and the steering is a bit sporty (heavier, and quicker) than what some would want, but I like it. My turbo only gets an average of 22 mpg so it’s not super efficient, but the hybrid will do better.

My Munro-bagging done as well, not finished though. A few years ago did Lochnagar again with some friends 25 years after doing it with my mate. Lots of steps had been put in to repair some of steeper paths, my knees prefer walking downhill instead of thumping down each step. As you say takes days to recover. Need e-knees.
Caving mmm, interested but having spent 20 years as a miner, that's way too long underground for one lifetime.

This is along the American River Bike Trail. It's a nice 3 footer or almost a meter.

Thanks for the info on the stand and car. I wish I’d have known about that stand before I bought the wheel holder style stand. Yours is much nicer.MetalTek makes the stand. Well chance of both fobs being flat unlikely but never tried. Recovery people didnt think so spent and hour scratching his head. Got a courtesy car but still a concern. You can't move the car too electronic nowadays.

…are those psi sensors on the rims, and did they have to balance the wheels?

The rear one is the magnet that a sensor uses to detect speed of rotation.
The front one does not have a lump of magnet and I guess that the red colour is either so it matches the rear, or it makes it marginally easier to spot where the tyre valves are.
I only know this because I tested a Santa Cruz last week.

Too electronic is correct. Last night, my brother-in-law’s Kia Sorento had a fault code which wouldn’t release the electronic parking brake. Fortunately, my neighbor had a device which allowed him to temporarily reset the code allowing the brake to release. BIL was able to drive to the dealer today but, if it had happened in a remote area, it could have been very inconvenient.
Hopefully your fix is quick and cheap.

Should be warranty. No ignition coming on se the recovery couldn't even fault find.
Correct - the rear has a speed sensor. The red is just the typical Reserve wheels logo colors.

It’s just a reality of the desert. If we stopped riding because of snakes, we’d have fewer riding days than the UK has cloudless days.

I don't have a full face helmet but I should probably get one since I can't afford to get any uglier than I already am. I wears shorts everyday, including wintertime when the temperature plummets into the low 60's.
I grew up in western Washington so I'm no stranger to clouds and rain but, only tourists carried umbrellas there. We wore raingear. Umbrellas die quickly when the wind picks up.
Need a sou wester for high wind haha.
It's called Sydvest as in southwest an old Norwegian invention for fishermen out at sea.
