Review video on my 2026 amflow. It’s been a very solid bike so far. I don’t have much ride footage as I just got the action 6 a couple weeks ago. But here’s a video review with a few clips from the past couple weeks. Hoping to start getting more and better content soon.

Thanks for your review.

How did you find the size large, would you size up to XL if you bought again?

No I really enjoy the large with 50mm rise bars and mullet. Stock I did feel I was pushed over the front end too much, but these changes made it really fun for me. I’d do the same setup of buying again.

Thanks for your reply and the info.

Are you on the stock stem length (35mm)?

Hey Brawwp, did you get the Amflow through a dealer in Honolulu so that you have a warranty? I am in Kona and wanted to buy one but I they will not ship to my local bike shop. We thought it was because the company has decided not to ship to any dealers in Hawaii, but this makes me wonder. Really enjoyed your video annual review too.

I had to go through chainline bikes in California. They’re an authorized dealer. Shipping was pricey and they will separate the battery, but well worth it!

I didn't hear a word you said. I was just looking at that brown, magical dirt. .
It’s very good dirt when it’s not wet. We’re in a rainy season right now. The video doesn’t do it justice but it gets super slick if you hit a more damp area. Like a clay mud just packs the tire. Definitely changing tires that shed more mud better on my next bike. When it’s good conditions though, man it’s primo dirt for sure.

How tall are you, and what is your inseam and ape index, if you happen to know?

I’m 5’10. Not sure on the other measurements. Are you wondering for the bars or bike size? If you’re same height definitely go large amflow. Bars are very subjective. The stock 2026 bike, and fox 36 is surprisingly good. The stock bar is 35mm rise bars so you can just use those and if you don’t like then try 50mm. I like the 50mm rise on this bike a lot. On my crestline build I’m going to go back down to 35mm bars at first because it has a higher stack height.

The reason I ask is that I’m a bit of a mutant. 5’8”, but almost 33” inseam, so getting bikes to fit has always been a challenge. with the Amflow, I’m truly in between. My medium is too short, and the Large is a little too long. We ride really, really stupid steep uphills occasionally, what I really need is a longer rear center/chainstay length, as even with fairly low 25mm rise, the Amflow tends to loop out a little on stuff over 20% grade. The longer reach/top tube would help, but then make the bike harder to wheelie drop and manual, so everything is a compromise.
If I run a 35 rise bar, in order to keep the front end down on these ridiculously steep climbs, keeping enough weight on the rear times becomes problematic for finding traction. Especially on roots, loose duff, granular mineral soil, etc.

Have you tried the large? I wouldn’t think it’s too long to be honest. Your inseam is longer than mine I think, but I also felt cramped over the bars a bit. So might actually be perfect for you. Maybe keep 160 travel fork will help keep you over the front as well.

I had to move my seat back on the rails too. So you could run that more forward position.

Well, I would, but there isn’t a stocking dealer, that has a bike I could demo, for thousands of miles, I think. that’s why I asking.

I have short torso/arms, so reach/top tube length has to be just right for me to get the front wheel up instinctively, lol.
I like to joke that I’m shaped like a T-Rex. (Just for disclosure, I have owned a shop with custom-frame fitting services, etc, etc).
40 years of experience with frame fitting.

Yeah you know more than me about that stuff then. I would still think large would be fine.

With medium and smaller frames you run into some issue with fitting a Zeb if that’s something you’d even want. Just something to consider.

I prioritize feeling good on the downhills. That said, this bike climbs amazingly. The avinox is so freaking fast even in auto that climbs can actually be fun. I feel stock setup I did not like how I felt on downhill. That’s why I made the changes. That also did make me have to consciously lean into the front wheel more on climbs to keep it down. So if you go large and care more about climbs then maybe stick with a 160 fork.

I have a 38, Zeb, 36, and a Cane Creek Helm for the Medium. I run a crown race spacer to alleviate the Zeb hitting the frame.
I also have the Cascade link, so rear is 160. No worries running the 170, as that keeps the sta steep.
I am also investigating an adjustable headset that will work, but 5hat might not be possible without having something machined.

lol, its not that I care ‘more’ about climbs ( I love double black bike park on this thing), I love both!

kinda wish they would make a 140-180 TALAS….

Sounds like you’re set on the medium then lol. Problem solved!

The crown race is a weird knock block style on the amflow just fyi. Like a non-functioning knock block unless you buy something to make it work. So the crown race spacer may not work and I read from some others that it doesn’t work on the amflow. However, people have shaved down the compression adjustment knobs to make it clear the frame. This is all only a concern if you want to run zeb though so may not matter anyway if you don’t plan to.

New video. This one is a review on the climbing (plus 3 KOMs on this ride). Didn’t video the whole ride except the first long climb uncut. Enjoy! Appreciate any likes and subscribes. Plan to continue making content and it’ll be fun once I get the crestline to compare the two.

Did you flip the clip to 27.5 or keep it in the 29 position?
