In the living room I love it.
A gust of 25m/s is 48 knots! The snow is gone, but when there are gusts of wind at 25.m/s, the trees break like matches and it's actually dangerous to ride in open areas you can be blown sideways out of control.

Looks like the man cave.In the living room I love it.
Yeah but only if its blowing from the SW..A gust of 25m/s is 48 knots!
Can't ride in that, anything over 30 knots (15m/sec?) risk getting blown off the bike in gaps between the trees which let the wind through.
What about North Easterlies?Yeah but only if its blowing from the SW..
Any other direction and you will be ok![]()
Agree 1000%, wherever possible, take the fun tracks!!!I could go through a sealed road but... much more fun!![]()
Tried out my new 7idp Sam Hill knee guards today. A little warm but no chafing. Level 2 protection but fortunately I didn’t test that today.

We're having a bit of an unprecedented heat wave this week. It'll reach 104 this weekend which is almost 25 degrees above normal. It definitely takes a little time to acclimate to the desert's heat but, it's doable. 2L hydration bladder with water and a water bottle on the bike with liquid IV to replenish the electrolytes. I look like a salt-lick when I'm done. The "dry heat" in the desert doesn't seem as hot as the same temperature in an area with more humidity. The danger is when people think "it can't be that hot, I'm not soaked with sweat". Perspiration evaporates almost instantly so your clothes feel dry but you're losing fluid at an alarming rate. The trick is to stay hydrated and know when to get out of the sun. Sadly, the dry heat claims a number of people every year that overdo it. Keeping our skin covered is also key. If you think about it, you don't see people in the desert middle east walking around in short sleeves and shorts, they're covered head to toe.I've got a sweat on just looking at that!
Anything above mid 20s (mid 70s in °f) and I melt![]()
Good guess.I vote glasses/goggle case.
I see you couldn't give up that disco-colored seat. When do the matching grips and pedals arrive? Come on, you know you want them. We won't judge you.View attachment 179653

Remember working in Nigeria with South Africans they told me you would frazzle in SA if you were out in sun all day like we are here. I found that out a year later. Didn't know 70 SPA sun factor existed till then. We're having a bit of an unprecedented heat wave this week. It'll reach 104 this weekend which is almost 25 degrees above normal. Fanny Pads? Please tell us that means fender or long pants in Scotland because here in the US, well, that might be a little too much information about your condition and/or lifestyle.Day trip to Tarland. Great as usual. I put on my Fanny Pads as they seem to be getting a lot of air time on here.

There's a product called "cat crap" (yes, it's real) that is good at minimizing fogging in goggles or glasses.Good guess.
A riding buddy just recently started wearing protective glasses. I’ve been suggesting to him, for a few years, that glasses are a good idea. (He had a close call recently …you never know when).
He chose a clear lens type but fogging up can still be a problem. Perhaps a different type or shape?
Mine are clear but change to slightly tinted in direct sunlight or light. I have 6 pairs of glasses (different styles). I thought about prescription riding glasses but they are friggen expensive. $500-800.
So…besides my trail direction, I glance at the Kiox for the clock and mode colour (mtb-purple). Or if my tummy growls I go home and eat.![]()
Yeah, a Harvester. Restricted by grade and diameter of the tree. Sometimes the operator would bite off more than he could chew. Ask me how I know. A 5’ diameter tree would look like a beaver tried to fall it. Then they’d call a faller.Im not sure but planting first started way back in 1926..

Maybe it’s time we started expanding our colour palette. My grays and black are just boring. My riding apparel could camouflage me into the surrounding terrain …why? But I don’t want to look like a Xmas tree with LED lighting.I see you couldn't give up that disco-colored seat. When do the matching grips and pedals arrive? Come on, you know you want them. I come from a motocross background so I’m used to dressing in bright colors and riding bright colored motorcycles (Honda red, Yamaha yellow and Kawasaki lime green). I spent more money to get my Levo carbon comp because the alloy model below came in, to me, boring colors. Here’s my Levo and “boring-colored” stumpy. The stump’s only been ridden once since getting the Levo because “I’ve got a motor now, woohoo!”.Maybe it’s time we started expanding our colour palette. My grays and black are just boring. My riding apparel could camouflage me into the surrounding terrain …why? But I don’t want to look like a Xmas tree with LED lighting.
Knee Pads ,Shin pads. Without creating an uproar some folk ( not me ) think only Fannies wear them same with full face helmets. Fanny in Scotland would be a soft person.Fanny Pads? Thanks for the clarification. I'm not a fan of bleeding so I started wearing "fanny pads" as well.Knee Pads ,Shin pads. Without creating an uproar some folk ( not me ) think only Fannies wear them same with full face helmets. Fanny in Scotland would be a soft person.
Yes it's amazing where the people you chat with on here are from and the different lingo , I'm always googling words. I said to my wife hey Bob from Timbuctoo just got a new Amflow , she replied you wish. Met a Aberdonian today at Tarland who is originally from NZ must have been 40 minutes yapping. Thanks for the clarification. I'm not a fan of bleeding so I started wearing "fanny pads" as well.
