Velduro Rogue 170/165 mullet Enduro with DJI

from the coil riders, how are the spring rates?
for an EXT e storia I did a EXT calculator at 30% sag giving 475lb/in, J-tech-suspension have suggested 525lb/in.
shall I go middle for 500lb/in?
(I'm 92kg)
EXT-USA ran all the numbers for me looking at the rogue geo, came up with 575# and I’m 100kg.
It’s perfect for me!

i had a 550 in my ksl and plan to reuse it. i‘m 95kgish. way suggested by my fast suspension dealer
difficult to say my preference my Cane creek double barrel has a 450 spring and it feels amazing! but it is a shorter stroke on an old shock (retired from 2 different Intense frames) and a 550 on a vivid on my Spech Enduro (575 was suggested but not available), no calculator matches the CCDB and the vivid isn't as nice as is compared to the CCDB

Also, this is my first ebike; is it common to shred a rear tyre in 10 days? Jesus, this could get expensive!
10 days is pretty extreme. Are you running a max grip on pointy rocks?

But yes you do burn back tires a lot faster. Run a dd casing and max terra or medium compound. Yourl burn a max grip compound real fast.

I wait for them to go on sale and buy several at a time....

I've found these online charts are completely useless. Even the paid versions where you input all your details are way off. They can't possibly predict the best spring for you as they don't have enough data to work from

So many values are in play that these charts can't predict

For perspective I was recommended the following springs based on my details from different companies and charts for me on my orbea wild
Ohlins - 511lb
J-tech - 475lb
Tf tuned - 500lb

Real world after testing with different springs - 605lb for tech, 648lb for jumps

Way off what I was recommended

Best way to do it is use your usual spring size youre familiar with and then see where youre at. Feels stiff, downsize. Feels soft, up size.

In prep for my own Wild, could you share what year and size your Wild is and how much you weigh?

Thanks.

2023/2024 both carbon and alloy wilds running the 170mm rear link and set up mullet with a 180mm fork

Size large

I'm 98kg kitted up

It's worth noting that in under 2 years I went through 4 different frames under warranty due to defects, the last frame being the new 2026 model (it's still in the box unused and for sale as a bare frame)

I ordered the velduro before the last frame arrived so I didn't bother building it up. Left it as brand new for the next owner

i ordered my shock especially with a 65 stroke for the KSL so similar travel and same stroke, should be mostly similar as both are 4-bars. i send it tomorrow to my tuner to get it rebuild as a trunnion, if the spring changes they will ship it with the correct one

Many of us in NZ had Suspension Tech International build custom shocks which were all dynoed and spring weights set by them based off bike leverage, rider weight and rider style. Every shock is different but I ended up on 500lbs and im 88kg. Feels perfect. As a comparison my last bike, was a stoked fuel exe I also ran a 500lbs.

I always enjoy flow's reviews. This was interesting

"The bike arrived around the same time as the Teewing turbo force. Both run the same Avinox motor and offer similar travel figures, but on the trail, they couldn’t feel more different. The Teewing is more of a true trail bike, whereas the Velduro Rogue feels closer to a mini DH bike."

The teewing sounds like an amflow with more travel, where as the Velduro is built for Enduro/DH.

Interesting article posted yesterday by Velduro about the frame manufacturing process and the facility they use:

It is a max terra in DD that came on the bike. I did the same and purchased a heap of DH casing tyres for the rear due to the extra weight, but to be honest, I think the DD held up great… just not the lugs! I may need to find a harder compound rear tyre, maybe a conti.
It is very steep and rocky where I ride, plus I was off work so riding on average 2 hours a day.

That'l do it. I can burn a tire in pointy rocky southisland in 2 weeks.

Try conti kryptotals. They seem to last longer.

I've just heard a rumor that the m2 motor is coming with a 1000WH SOLID STATE battery. Can anyone else confirm or deny this? Very annoyed by this timing if true!

I know that for 2026 Forbidden's ebike's only have 600wh and 800wh options for batteries. I had to do my shops bookings for our 2026 bikes. I have to think it's just a rumor at this point as I don't think Forbidden would have opted out of a 1000wh option if it was there.

I don’t think solid-state batteries are there yet. If they were, that would be a much bigger headline than just a more powerful motor—and this is the first I’ve heard of it.

yes, it's a combined lithium-unobtainium battery, there was a recent breakthrough in china. it was all over the news!

Not sure if this has been covered already, being a new company what's the warranty support network for example if there is a motor or battery issue,?

can anyone tell me for sure if the rear postmount is 203mm as the website says or 200mm as their pdf says?
