1.60.1 updated for me yesterday, just check if all apps are up to date manually with the refresh button
Since the app update to version 1.6.0.1, the total mileage in the app (odometer) is suddenly displayed incorrectly. It claims the engine has only run for about 100 km, but the actual mileage is already over 1000 km.
Is anyone else experiencing this problem?

Does the bike say the same?

Why not just let everyone do the update? Specialized has been doing some crazy things lately.

Lets say it's not planned to come out for a few months yet.
Then they say at Specialized that it may have a few bugs but lets real world test it.

I would prefer that they Beta test it with a few hundred people than release it with bugs to everyone if I was Specialized.
The version we get with probably be a revised version of what's being tested.

Or should they have not released it to anyone & let us all wonder for a few more months.

It's funny because we have 2 of the exact same bikes, bought at the same time and ridden near identically at the same time. Yet only one update and not the other!

Are they both registered under the same account/email with Specialized?

How

How can I see it in the bike itself? Didn't find an odometer in rhe TCU settings or

I think Specialized is mostly testing how well their servers handle masses

What is so funny if its a random thing not the official update?

I’m curious for those offered the test, did the email come through after a ride?

Maybe they take geographical location into account and release the update where it's warm now?

No 2 different accounts, but created at the same time - like within a minute of each other when we purchased, it's my bike and the mrs
They likely picked the users for the trial randomly so I can understand how one bike got the offer and the other didn't.

@Rob Rides EMTB Right, here's the updated summary since you keep asking for it and can't be bothered scrolling:

What we know:

Specialized is supposed to send new firmware for Gen 4s - one for S-Works and another for non-S-Works models. More torque and power expected. @Linkman mentioned back in October that it had been announced to traders but was still under secrecy at that time. Original date was Thursday 10-16-25 from LBS, but it's been delayed with no new date from Specialized.

The conspiracy theories:

Some folk thought Bosch CX5 going to 100nm and 750W (which happened back in May 2025) would hurt Specialized sales - which turned out to be bang on since current non-S-Works Gen 4s only manage 666W vs S-Works at 720W. Proper awkward when DJI's making everyone else look underpowered.

The current drama:

@Powerslider reckons Specialized is testing server capacity. @Ribinrobin thinks they're testing patience (fair point). @calot has two identical bikes, same purchase, same rides - only one got the beta offer. Proper random selection at work there.

The technical bit:

The power difference between S-Works and regular Gen 4 is purely firmware - identical hardware, which is why everyone's gagging for an unlock option. Specialized says it's not currently possible, but we all know how these things go eventually.

Bottom line:

Beta's happening for some lucky sods, proper firmware's delayed indefinitely, and everyone's wondering if their non-S-Works will finally get the power it should've had from day one. Classic Specialized - create the problem, sell the solution separately.

Still reckon they're just waiting to see how much DJI eats their lunch before deciding how generous to be with the power unlocks.

Sums things up in a nutshell...

Proper bang on the money with that summary, mate.
PSeMTB's got the beta and says it "rips" after four rides now

- though to be fair, he's the sort of bloke who'd say his morning cornflakes "rip" if they had enough sugar on them.
The whole drama about @calot getting one invite for two identical bikes is mental. Same house, same everything, but Specialized's algorithm goes "nah, just one of you." It's like being picked for teams at school - completely random and always leaves someone feeling hard done by.
And you're spot on about the classic Specialized move. They've created this artificial scarcity where the hardware's identical but they've software-locked the power difference.
S-Works gets 111Nm and 720W purely via firmware since the physical drive unit is identical. It's the Apple playbook - make people pay premium for what's essentially a software checkbox.
What's proper mental is they're doing this just as

DJI Avinox motors are "leaving S-Works standing on steeper uphills"

according to folks who've ridden both. Specialized's playing firmware politics while DJI's out there making everyone else look underpowered.
The beta testing suggests they know they need to up their game - question is whether they'll be generous enough to give non-S-Works owners what they should've had from day one, or if they'll do the minimum viable unlock to keep people from jumping ship to Avinox.
Your Cube One77 probably sits there smugly watching all this corporate nonsense unfold, knowing it just works without firmware drama.
