I wonder if the, “order received” email had a note about this If you were one of the first two? Crazy exciting and respectful that he is doing this!!
Its a farken cheap and cunning marketing stunt.

Have some left over parts valuing a few thousand. Do a give away to create even more urgency.

Thats damn cheap marketing spread over $2.1m of sales.

Preorder is a smart move, with all the new Dji bikes coming up, it would be harder to sell later the in the year IMO.

So does this mean the Zeb and 38 will be shipping with the latest iterations too??

Def sounds like it... even the asterisk is saying that isn't the fork you're getting lol
The only thing thats giving me pause is the fact it says Fox orange. You think it will be the orange like the Zeb is red? You can still order these on the site if you didnt when originally ordering the frame. I didnt realize. I thoughy it had to be done in that moment…. I really want that LTD Fox racing green

Looks like Amflow is coming out with a new bike also. We will find out soon enough if all these new Avinox bikes will be sporting 2nd gen motors.

Got the email as I got into bed Saturday night. Purchased on kind of an impulse and woke up saying, what the hell did I do?! LoL But after some research and reading this thread, I'm stoked. RH2 Geo is really close to my PNW Relay so should feel pretty comfortable and my NOBLs and Push shock will fit the .2. Just sucks that my NOBLs have onyx hubs in them.

In the anxious rush to get my order in I forgot to select a fork. I sent an email asking if I can add it after the fact... fingers crossed.

Go back on the website and select shop. Scroll down to the bottom where it had suggested purchases. Scroll through them and the zeb and 38 was still on there as of last night 👍🏼

No shop button, just shows "Sold Out" as you scroll down.

Go on the website and click the 181.2 option. Then scroll down to the link for addition drop outs. Scroll down to bottom… 😁

Appreciate the help, but the desktop version of the website seems to be considerably different. Maybe I'm missing it, but I don't see any option to buy anything from the desktop version. I've clicked on every adjustable dropout link on the 181.2 page and it just has an option for drop outs. There is nothing but stock web and contact information under the dropout options.

Looks like these sold out already! Stoked for Troydon and for all y'all who swooped 'em. Gonna be the sickest bike in the solar system. I envy your patience and resolve.

Alas I fell victim to the I-need-it-now virus and opted for a Norco. It's long stroked as a Range and set up as 160/190 with a dual crown to match stock 170 fork ATC.

My Dreadnought v2 is currently setup 160/190 just like this and it's perfect, so fingers crossed.

Managed to bag a Plaid Edition with FOX DHX2 :giggle: Can anyone give me a good reason NOT to pair this with a FOX Podium Inverted 170mm fork? I've heard good things about this fork but would appreciate any input from someone who has had experience with it on an ebike, even if it's negative.

Is Ridewrap the go-to for frame protection in Sydney area or can someone vouch for alternatives?

Cheers!

The frame is 180mm, I feel front shorter than rear is criminal haha

not a podium but I had a push 9.1. They both have the same gripe which is the fork is limited to only 170mm. So you're put in a position to either run the frame as a 160mm or 170mm assuming you want a balanced geometry. I did enjoy the bike with 160mm rear and 170mm fork.

Ridewrap is the only wrap that offers full frame protection. Give it a month or so and they will release one for the plaid.

A good reason NOT to is to maintain the geometry with a 170 mm fork you'd want to run a different than OE shock, it would have to be a 62.5mm stroke or restroke the OE Vivid (I'm not sure about Fox) or run a Works reach adjust headset. Running the rear at 161 or 181mm you'd need a 180mm fork to maintain geometry. The flip chip only changes travel, not bottom bracket/etc like most HI/Low flip chips. A 170 mm fork is good with a 62.5mm stroke shock.

Good to know, thanks, yeah I already put a request with Ride Wrap but it seems they are quite quick with new releases.

This is interesting. I didn't know this. How does running in 170/161 change the geometry?

Ignore me... I brain farted after coming up for air after staring at an Excel for 3 hours. Eye to eye stays the same so geometry doesn't change in any configuration. A shorter stroked shock only limits end of travel. As you were...

Got the email as I was getting on a flight, by the time I landed my size was gone. If anyone got an RH2 and is getting cold feet, please DM me!
