• Warning!!

Riding a tuned or deristricted EMTB is not a trivial offence and can have serious legal consequences. Also, many manufacturers can detect the use of a tuning device or deristricting method and may decline a repair under warranty if it was modified from the intended original specification. Deristricting EMTB's can also add increased loads for motors and batteries. Riding above the local law limit may reclassify the bike as a low-powered bike, requiring insurance, registration and a number plate.

Be aware of your local country laws. Many laws prohibit use of modified EMTB's. It is your responsibility to check local laws. Ignoring it, has potential implications to trail access, and risk of prosecution in the event of an accident.

69 year old tecnophobe here, I got my Amflow PL in august and have done 1000miles on it ,it is my 3rd E-bike,and I am loving it so far. The only tuning I have done is to bump up the power in eco so it is not as grim getting back to the car park when I look down and I have 2 m left and it's 3m left to go.the rest are fine, auto mostly unless my knees are giving me grief. My only problem is the 15mph cut off, which usually happens as I am setting up for a jump, got away it so far, apart from knackering a few back wheels. I just need to know how to get the USA limit of 20 mph, don't need the NZ limit,20 mph where I ride would be fine,If you can't put it on here could you point me in the right direction?prefer the vpn way rather than a different size pick up.
Thanks Mick

NZ style is the VPN configuration and probably the easiest to mount/connect but you don't need to ride above 20mp.
Who rides a Lambo 150mph when the speed limit is 60 mph.

Both methods are the same - go to the derestricted thread on here to find out how. Choose (set VPN to) USA for 20mph or NZ for 28mph.

I did this last week (EU Bike). I first tried NZ - but two well known VPN's did not manage to spoof the system into NZ. Then I tried Hong Kong. Worked first time. God knows what the top speed is now because in top gear on a flat road I get to around 40kmh and its still going up but I can't spin by legs any faster.

Gracias Mick

45kph limit mate - though the rumour was, if you`ve never updated the bike from new, it would be unlimited.
