Looks like a tease of the white 2026 spectre, I like it.

I suspect because there are 300 frames and a number of other dji options out there this year that it wont be an immediate sell out.

Of course. But then last time they sold out the entire production run before the thing was even officially announced.

Because there were only 99 frames. H e gave priority to people who bought directly from him, and he allocated frames to some retailers as well.

If we can define “immediate” as within 24 hours I’d bet it will be immediate. I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re gone within a couple of hours. I’m not personally shopping but am interested to watch what happens. We’ll see.

I reckon a month or so.

That would be ideal... already stressed about missing the pre-sale. Crestline is the only option that checks all my boxes:

-Frame only
-Long travel (160+)
-full 29"
-Proportional chainstays on the XL
-Bosch or DJI

Probably going to get a 27.5 rear end too so I can experiment.

Fingers crossed.

Question: do they charge full price on pre-order? Is there way to back off after order placed? I feel 3-4mo wait is quite long, in case I landed on something else in the middle.

They sold a hundred Bosh version in a couple of hours. I can’t see 300 DJI powered versions lasting even a week. It’ll be interesting to see what happens.
Nah, the last Bosch version took several months. I bought mine just before they started shipping.

It went live Nov ish and I ordered in March for shipping late March

That’s not what the Founder said in his recent interview. He said they sold out the 99/100 units within the same day.

Why would you wait and risk missing out the only option that checks your boxes?

That is the dji not the bosch. Again, he gave previous owners who bought from his directly first priority to buy, then he allocated some frames to retailers, and then opened it to the public.

Did you watch the video/interview? He said he had to shut down previous owner orders so he had some left to provide to retailers. They were immediately selling out. He commented that they sold out before they even officially announced them.

Full price on ordering

Is this DEFINITIVELY going to have the new V2 motor?
This is really important to know, I think!

I have to assume Amflow would announce a bike with it before anyone else. I can even envision Amflow having exclusivity for a period of time.

Im not arguing against you. Im defending you. Plummets comments were in regards to the bosch variant.

Im saying the public didnt get a good shot at the pre-orders because of troydons allocation. This time around there will be 300 frames. Im not saying the pre orders won't go fast but there are more options of dji bikes now

A local dealer said amflow gets 6 months exclusivity, but it's hard to believe with all these bike brands dropping their dji bikes around the suspected march rumor of the m2 (crestline, commencal, forbidden)

The Crestline will have the new quieter motor, that much is clear. This could be an updated M1, but it'll likely be the M2 with the M1 remaining the same. It'll likely have other improvements as well.
The Amflow was created just to market the DJI, and it succeeded spectacularly at that.
Amflows won't be as popular imo moving forward with so many good/ better options that also have the same motor, and I suspect that DJI is fine with that. They'd rather dominate the entire e-bike motor market over scores of brands, then just sell Amflows.
I really don't think that Crestline and Amflow are competing for the same customers base.

Me? Definitely not waiting once the pre-orders open up.

FYI one thing I left off my list was QUIET (I.e. no rattle).

In the mean time I'm definitely still interested in the latest (quiet) Bosch Crestline but haven't seen any XL/RH-4's pop up for sale.

Is it known what the new things in a v2 motor are?

None of us really knows, but it'll almost certainly be quieter, more efficient, more powerful & a bit heavier based on piecing together a few things here and there.

Anyone concerned the motor in the next batch of Crestlines will be quiet at the expense of efficiency (i.e. just do a quick fix by tightening everything up)?

Not really as that would be a step backwards.
Who knows, maybe the rumored small weight gain is them adding the disconnect mechanism like the Bosch has?

Sorry to use y'all as crowd source vetting but anyone have anything to say about the Mondraker Crafty?

Just realized they offer this frame only ($7k)

XL is 500r/465cs

Latest Bosch system, 800wh

Won Brian Cahal's shootout, but to be fair their Crestline was wrong-sized (RH-4) for them and they acknowledged their conclusions were almost exclusively based on geo.

My reservations are that it's only 150mm and probably not cleared for a dual crown (still vetting that).
