Pre-order starts next month - Next Crestline Avinox frame set

I forget about the random obscure euro brands. They dont exist down this part of the world.
That's also only 150/160mm trail/am bike. Not a super enduro build. So it cant be compared to 170/180mm as a viable option.
What's random and obscure in NZ is mainstream in Germany, and vice versa ;-)

Not to mention that Rotwild has a non-standard battery. One of the very best things about the Crestline is its oem battery swap design.

While off topic with Rotwild bikes, I had a chance to check one out and it has some very impressive features. Rotwild uses an integrated dropper seatpost system. The dropper is built into the frame design and routed through it. The integrated dropper is from Eightpins, it is not inserted from the top but built into the frame. The maximum height can be set with a dial under the seat , as well as the seat post cable never need to be moved when making changes. Clever stuff...

I like the Rotwild.

Out of curiousity, can it be purchased in the USA?

In my relentless self abuse of googling a bike that isn't available yet, I found this (apologies if this is old news):

Two questions guys for those that already have a DJI Cresty:

1) In a size large, would you choose the 450 or the 455mm CS's? Real world experience appreciated.
2) How much dropper are you guys getting in a size L and please include your height?

Thx!

I went with 445 chainstay, seemed safest bet. I came off a 1st gen bullit, 445 cs and it felt good.

I’m 5’10” running a pnw loam dropper at 170cm. It’s almost slammed and could be if I needed to. I think a 180 dropper is close to the longest dropper slammed possible.

You're on a RH2 or 3?

Argh, I was really hoping that RH3 would have allowed ~30cm of insertion depth. From what you are saying it seems to be ~28-28.5cm?
A lot of us have been looking for data around max insertion depths on the crestlines, thanks for helping!

48.7 lbs must be with the 600w battery… still sounds light to me with a proper dh setup but I hope I’m wrong
Is that a new or old colorway? Other than the initial matte black release, this is definitely my fave.

EDIT: This was a one off paint job for the owner of Fanatik bikes in Bellingham WA.

Oh well...

Troydon was riding one painted up like that too, I really like it. They also did this for Worldwide Cyclery

I'm properly subscribed to Crestline's mailing list but nothing recently... is there a date yet for the pre-sales opening up?

Wait until it stops working...

Much easier to use standard dropper that you can easily get at any bike shop and swap between bikes. The above is a solution to the problem that never existed.

You can also run standard droppers in those frames. I really like the concept.

Other than an email I doubt it'll be a loud announcement, usually isn't. If you're a buyer you gotta pay attention and check in yourself because these will definitely go fast. I'd make it a habit to check the site every time you make a visit to the crapper.
