So much power, so little battery🤣
So now we can drain our tanks 22% faster, while bouncing off the motor cutoff 22% more……..
🤣. lol
Trolling through ……..

If it’s free, SOLD!
If it’s a rumor….fool me thrice…
I’m paying way too much attention, for someone who doesn’t give a bit of shit🤣🤘🏼.
My LBS told me, I gotta manage my forum notifications better.

One particlar climb I often do slows me down to a 12 km/h crawl, so I'll gladly take those 810 Watts 🙏

0-to-100 sounds like a new flavor of dynamic microtune to me. I'm happy with the bike as is, but maybe this mode will feel even better.

I wish they would add coast shift. No reason why they can't. Bosch is shifting shimano now, so specialized still has some catching up to do.

I'm sure they are aware of it and do all they can to no get pushed backwards into the future.
If it's true a new updated software is around the corner it must be amazing and making other brands jealous otherwise Specialized will lose lots of future customers including me.

If you expect this software to make other motor system providers jealous, you're going to be disappointed. That's a lot to expect.

And I don't need Spec to have the best everything. If they're really good, but trailing in some areas like auto-shifting, you still have to weigh the easy access to parts/service vs most of their competition.

I’m thinking the update will be either released within two weeks; or it’ll happen next year. I’d be surprised if anything significant occurs between 12/22 though 1/1.

I won't be updating mine for a bit. I like the power now. I don't want to use anymore battery.

As much as I would love to get higher spec numbers, I don't think this is a good idea in the context of public land access in the United States market. See, Specialized already ruffled a lot of feathers with the possibility for the end user to switch from Class 1 to Class 3, which it not supposed be possible. It's the government that imposes those restrictions, not the user. Plus, crossing the 750 Watt limit of either classes technically puts the bike outside what can be legally recognized as bicycle in the United States. And in the context of advocacy for access on public lands such as national forest this is a big problem. For those who do not know, National forest in the US does not allow any e-bikes on trails because they treat them as motorcycles, which are a type of motor vehicle. If e-bikes are not legally recognized as bicycles by CPSC, they fall by technicality of the law into a grey area which would not allow them to be legally used on trails. Spesh are really shooting themselves in the foot with this decision, unless they are strategically exploiting the language in the current e-bike law to somehow circumvent classifications, yet somehow remain compliant. I do not the direction this is going. As an advocate for e-MTB use, this can erase over 10 years of advocacy efforts with land managers in the US.

Then don't do the update......
Every party has a pooper,
that's why I invited you.
Party pooper, party pooper.....

Every time I ride somewhere eMTB are outlawed I notice nearly half the bikes are eMTB. The movement can’t be stopped. Luckily the USA is a representative republic and we’ll enact change to represent the will of the people. 🇺🇸

Silliness. All you have to do is back off the power in the app, and can still reap the other benefits of the update.
What other benefits other than power? Am I missing something here? If its just power, I don't want the update.

Most of the National Forest service trails in my area allow motorcycles. E-bikes are also considered motorcycles in my area. Thus all most trails are legal. It doesn't matter how much power or how fast an e-bike can go.

I would hope Specialized invests a good amount into trail use advocacy offsets!
For every watt I get, a dollar is spent on trail access advocacy.
That way when my Levo gen 8 has 2345 watts, I know someone is in Washington advocating for me and my rights to watt down!!!!
🤣🤘🏼🏁

Oh boy how stuff gets twisted up in these forums is so entertaining!! My bike gets a software update, causing my trail access to now be in jeopardy. I had no idea …….

I wouldn’t download this update if you paid me a sack of chickens. I’ll fight tooth and nail to keep it away……

Shoot 🤣
it just finished downloading. Nothing I could do😡😭😫😖
Off to ride!

First of all, you insult all mountain bikers by assuming that just because we are on a potentially faster bike, that we will cease to be courtious trail users and not slow down to an appropriate speed to pass.
Why not call out all the people buying amflows and supporting communist china? Why not call out the governments for letting these bikes in the country? They enforce strict rules on speed, why not power?
My ebike buddy is a ranger and they have had meetings. Thankfully he is on the new ebike advisory commitee and convinced them that there is really nothing they can do to prevent people from riding what looks like a regular bike on the trails. There is no way to monitor or enforce any rules they create including saying no throttle bikes because there are old or dissabled people who need it. The conversation is not over, but lets not make predictions that include assuming good people will be corrupted by this power and cause more problems on the trails. Ill tell you from the Rangers mouth that the biggest problem by far and loudest complaints come from dog walkers who feel they are entitled to break the rules (dog off the leash) , unleash their angry when forced to move over and then write angry letters. It's funny when we riding and we come up on an angry dog walker and she/he telling my buddy the rules. He just laughs and says check the park rule book, my picture is on the cover. Put your dog on a leash.

That is 100% wrong smart guy. This type of confident missinformation with no evidence is a major problem in this conversation. Electric Bicycle Use | US Forest Service
In fact its the exact opposite. they have openned land to ebikes/ecycles because hunters like to use them.

Besides more peak power the update allegedly delivers “more natural power delivery, quicker responsiveness, and new customisation options.”

The new Dynamic Micro-Tune system lets riders control power with more precision than ever before.
The new Zero-to-100 mode provides fully variable assistance, adjusting the motor output exactly to the rider’s effort.

Riders get a more natural pedalling feel and smoother assistance transitions as they approach top speed. They also get more responsive support to help clear large roots, steps, and obstacles without falling into a “dead zone,” thanks to snappier re-engagement when they start pedalling again.

as a S-Works owner Gen 4 It’s a seriously load of bull -S… we were told they would never update the Gen 4 to even close to the S-works and here we are after the fact on the verge of a major update for the gen 4 in general , they say more Watts all that does is supply power, not the actual Grunt of the Bike ( NM ) in so sick of how they manipulate and talk nonsense honestly all ive had is lies and I dunos from them .The first S-works bike was a Lemon gave it back , was promised a bike in July also a lie , only got it now end November , i bought a comp Gen 4 two months in they had to swop the motor - was loosing power , Now the new bike also loosing power so I got told they have to replace the wiring harness and put the derailer onto its own battery ( so the rear derailer is NOT CONNECTED TO THE MAIN BATTERY CAUSE THE CPU APPARENTLY IS GETTING CONFUSED ) are you frikkenb kidding me , so now the selling point of the battery runs evrything is a load of S…I Aslo the new Sworks in Green is advertised as front hub has 32 holes rear hub aslo 32 holes but when I got the bike 28 on back and 32 on front ,reason i bought new hubs was the hubs that come standard on the bike CANNOT HANDLE THE EMTB the DT Swiss 240 hubs are great hubs but when you ride the bike and I mean ride it properly the derailer keeps skipping , was told I ride it to hard lol WTF. Ive now put Hope Emtb hubs on and imagine that the derailer works perfectly.Hasnt skipped once
MAYBE SPECIALIZED SHOULD TRY GETING THE CURRENT BIKE TO WORK PROPERLY BEFORE THEY SCREW OVER THE SWORKS OWNERS EVEN MORE
I really wanted love this bike ,when it rode with out issues it rode well (BUT SO MANY ISSUES) and now this kick in the face from them

Coffee, Coke, or Crack here folks!
Rock bottom prices
Anger sold separately

It’s like a new, extreme form of post purchase dissonance.

You still have a sick bike right? Does it work?
Go!
Get some of that energy out!

This is pretty hard to read. What is your question?

How’s it a kick in the arse?

The S Works is still getting more power so will still have more than the ‘regualr’ models.

I’ve had my Pro since launch and it just works.
