Hi there
I’m trying to find out which other e-bike chargers might be compatible with the Orbea RS Battery Charger - 36V 2A (UK) gen1
Or best places to track down a replacement.

Mine isn’t working and won’t charge my bike. I’ve ordered from 3 Orbea dealers and each have said it’s in stock then after waiting a while they say it comes from Orbea in Spain and it takes several weeks often. Time is short now for when I need it so thinking maybe there’s another I can use or get hold of an Orbea one that someone’s not using .
Any help / advice on this would be appreciated.
Thanks

Both eBay and Amazon have chargers for 36V Li-Ion battery.
Problem is the connection plug, which seems to be specific for Orbea. And also different for different vintages of Orbea?
Most chargers have 3 pins (2 for current, 1 for monitoring ), but my Orbea charger (2021) has 7!
If your current charger is a write-off, I assume you could adapt the plug (with cable) to a non-Orbea compatible charger.
The power cord from the old charger can also be re-used (make sure the input voltage is 100-240 V~)

Thank you loads that’s really helpful. Adapting the plug sounds like an option .

I have 2. I broke the plug on the old one (still worked but was difficult to fit) so I got a new one. Not long after I broke the plug in exactly the same way (design issue from Orbea TBF). It wasn't as badly damaged as the old one so I continued to use it. However, it started not charging and would just give a solid blue light and do nothing. What I found is that if I unplugged the charger from the mains and left it a while and then plugged it back in to the bike *which had to be turned off) then sometimes it would work again. It became a PITA turning stuff on and off and trying to get the right combination to bring the charger to life so I have now gone back to my original charger which seems to work just fine!
