A large LBS chain that pre-orderd a bunch of bikes did offer a demo, so it not a rule and they not hiding anything.Yep my dealer said I could ride one along the road but that’s not enough to convince me to drop mega money.

haha true, i'll have to say it looks much better from the top. So much focus has been put on the downtube that its kinda hard to stop 'seeing' it. Like a big mole on someones face you got to just forget about at it and see the bike as a whole.Yes you can:
Even Asa can't make that bike look good, change it to silver already!!No way they're ugly.
It's satin champagne and change color at different angles.Even Asa can't make that bike look good, change it to silver already!!
I'm thinking more Satan's ChampagneIt's satin champagne and change color at different angles.
Anyway I will know exactly how it looks and feels at the end of May.
I take your point, but like i said at this price range its got to tick all the boxs and how it looks is very important, if was an 8-9k bike then maybe you could forgive its looks a bit. But at 12.5k here in UK and its not a good looking bike IMo.Looks are important but don't put that above ride feel. You can't see the bike when you riding anyway.
Next gen batteries will allow for better looks but they still might be heavy so yeah i look forward to the future but lets enjoy the present and be thankful for what we have. Thanks Specialized!!
Specialized need to get back to offering demo rides, used to be a regular feature a few years back.Yep my dealer said I could ride one along the road but that’s not enough to convince me to drop mega money.

If you are selling every bike you have then you do not need to offer demo rides.Specialized need to get back to offering demo rides, used to be a regular feature a few years back.
No chanceWonder if they’ll finally make the old mastermind available aftermarket.
Will look great with your blue hair ;PIt's satin champagne and change color at different angles.

My understanding is 28 mph is half power and is provided for the convenience of road commuting to the trail for example. What exactly is the application in the dirt? Please elaborate. The 28mph setting is great but i turned it off for the first ride to see if the limiter would interfere, plus my buddies were razzing me haha. It held me back a few times on mild downhills and i dont like the feel when hitting jumps even tiny ones. next time i just going to set to class 3.
I didnt feel any change as i passed 20mph in the parking lot and had it on for a short while on the trail and felt full power below 20 with it in the class 3 mode. I dont think there is any power drop while using class 3. bike is way more fun off the leash. My understanding is 28 mph is half power and is provided for the convenience of road commuting to the trail for example. My dealer popped open the box on my expert and it has alloy rims. He's not sure why you got carbon, but congrats! I was told there are two US distribution centers, Salt Lake City and Morgan Hill. Perhaps that's a differentiator (mine shipped from SLC, ordered through the dealer not online). They must have because generally the all the expert level mtbs have alloy wheels.
do you have comparable numbers for your gen3? Sounds very similar (or even worse compared) to gen3 for me?15miles 2000ft, 40% left, trail mode.
FC always has the scoop. He lives near Silicon Valley which is fairly affluent so that regional customer base will likely accept the clown tax. I'm in a small city with two Specialized dealers - guessing they might deal a little on the surcharge to compete against each other. But the tariff situation can change very quickly since our regime is so unpredictable. Broadly speaking, it's tough to do business in the US at the moment especially since we have a service economy. What do you reckon will your LBS let customers pay the extra 10% or will they bear the cost themselves?

Thanks, yes feeling lucky. Mine came from SLC, says on the box.My dealer popped open the box on my expert and it has alloy rims. He's not sure why you got carbon, but congrats! That green is nice. I'm calling it Maxima Mineral Oil Green.
Yes, felt like the increase in power and the increase in battery size evens out to be about the same. I deffinitely had and used more power than i needed on that ride and plan to reduce the trail mode settings by 20%. I need to get 35 miles and 4000vert out of this thing next friday.do you have comparable numbers for your gen3? Sounds very similar (or even worse compared) to gen3 for me?
yes i think Spesh already planned on a price increase thats why they started low, remember the initial prices were $1000 higher on that US list before 4/8. Even at 10% more my expert is still $550 less than it was 4 years ago so I find it a bit unfair to complain about pricing.FC always has the scoop. It's like 10% torque and power difference hence approx 10% less range? I'd assumes you could compensate by tuning the assistance. 50% of max power differs for these bikes, so on sworks you just go down to 45% to obtain the same range. Guess they used eco mode as baseline for these numbersI understood from buyer that Gen4 q-factor is reduced compared to Gen3. Does someone have numbers ?
Another question regarding range: specification indicates range is 4.75Hrs for SWORKS and 5.33Hrs. It sounds a big difference for just few Nm….
True Story, if you place it in Class 3 it reduces the power to 250w, says it right on screen. Honestly for all the haters that complained about this it is really only viable on flat smooth bike paths. If you want to fly on the trails then you would go into the settings and turn on shuttle and crank it to 100%. Basically Max power for the least input power. My understanding is 28 mph is half power and is provided for the convenience of road commuting to the trail for example.
