What's on your wrist ( watch or gizmo)?

I know you might be surprised by this, but I'm bit of a watch tart.
Day to day work watch - Tissot T-Touch Solar
Wednesdays (Midweek Ride day) - Garmin Epix Gen 2
Thursdays or Fridays - OnePlus Watch 2
Weekend ride day - the Garmin Obvs
Weekend Non ride day - One of the nicer watches.
You have two wrists, make the most of the gear 🤪.

I would lose track of what I should be wearing!

All I have is this Ti trinket that I got from the guy that makes King Cages years ago.....

Press off and down button at the same time on iPhone you'll get all details needed if you have activated "medical ID"
You can also add medications to the medical id - so if you took heart medication or were allergic to morphine etc it will show up anyone who access the medical ID (so long as they know how to use it, which I assume most first reponders would). Really underrated feature

Back in the Stone Age, my first RoadID was velcro. When the band became shabby, I bought a new band and stuck the tag on it. When that one wore out, I got the rubber-band style. I like it a little better.

Rubber and sweat aren't a great combination.

It's no good when cycling either 😂

Garmin Fenix 5s for a while now. But I've become frustrated with the random freezing during rides. Anyone have this problem?
I now use a Wahoo Element Roam.

I see lots of different wrist ware (watches if you like) whilst out and about. I'm a classic rugged dive watch wearer but I see lots of GPS/Apple/Samsung (or I think they are) wearers.
So what do you wear on your wrist whilst riding, a watch or GPS type device?
Garmin enduro 3 replacing my trusty garmin which was ace but I just kept smashing the mounts

Garmin Venu 2 Plus. Main reason is the accident notification since I ride alone allot. Also does a decent job recording my ride.

Samsung Galaxy. Runs Strava great, GPS works great and has Strava beacon support (Friends/spouse/etc... can track you location in real time as long as you have cell service).

Epix 7 with road id. Helps me track in excruciating detail why im not getting in shape or losing weight fast enough!

I use a Wahoo Elemnt Roam 2 and a Samsung Watch 5 Pro.
Where do I start....
The watch is only useful if you have a Samsung phone and then only useful if you like the "Samsung Health" app. The watch has to be recharged after 2.5 days.
Regardless of the phone brand the watch HR monitor may or may not connect to Samsung Health. It's really anyones guess.
Certain features of the watch are missing completely when used with a non-Samsung phone.
The Wahoo Roam 2: a large, very expensive clock for my handlebars that would be in landfill if not for its ability to connect to the Garmin car radar and beep very annoyingly (but reliably).
Its mapping feature showing route taken may or may not appear when you finish a ride, start the app on your phone and allow the data transfer. Many times you get a blank hole where the map should be with a 'busy' animation in its place. Completely underwhelming.

Garmin Fenix 5+ on my wrist, nothing on the bike. I only ride winch and plummet or park so nav is unnecessary.

There’s a number of things that I carry for each ride. iPhone, i watch, first aid kit, energy bar, tire plug, Co2, stem insert tools.

I activate Strava beacon each ride. My medical information is fairly updated …and that’s come in handy a few times.

Another rider found me once partially laying in a creek and used my iPhone to start rescue services…I vaguely remember that excitement for about 3 days.

I don’t need or use routes, heartbeat, wattage etc …just gps, phone. map apps(7 or 8).

Oh …and the phone camera to take awesome pictures of wood 🪵 🙄.

I ride highway on my emtb. Yep you heard right. It's my cardio activity... 40km every morning on 2.6" tyres & dual suspension with 30kg wet weight. May as well be comfortable... road bikes are NOT!
If I could go back to before purchasing all this stuff and just get the Garmin watch... If for nothing other than the longevity of the battery charge. Sheesh!
I guess this stuff is so new and all of us has such differing requirements from our gear due to our particular methods of bike use.

Huawei GT series watch. Cheaper than most other smart watches and packed with all the features I need. Links with Huawei phone app. Can sync recorded rides to Strava. Tracks heart rate, sleep and recovery. Can be used to make and take calls via phone, very handy when you crash and break your ribs and can't get your backpack off to get your phone!!!

My samsung makes & takes calls, tracks BP, ECG etc.
Samsung is made by our ally, South Korea. Huawei is a tool of the CCCP. We all need to take national security more seriously. Be aware of who you are providing money and information.

Agreed. Cybersecurity is a thing that most folks remain blissfully ignorant of…to their detriment.

If the Chinese intelligence are listening to my biking banter then they are in trouble!

CCCP vanished years ago. Does not exist :-)
