I'm due to pick up my new 2019 Levo Comp at the end of the month but reading ll these threads on wiring problems is starting to make me think the new Levos are not reliable. Is it just a few bikes that are effected or is this a general thing? Should I cancel my order and buy something else? What do you think?

Hi Terry, I’m the same, I’m reading the threads and beginning to think I’ve done the wrong thing. My S-Works is due in a month... what to do!?
 
Touch wood , I had mine since early Oct , no problems , about 500 miles in lots of mud and rocky off-road .
Just do it , it’s a great bit of kit and niggles can be sorted by your good local support dealer .

600 hard off-road winter miles on my 2019 comp carbon and I’ve not suffered a single issue with the electronics.
 
I've been on my 2019 Expert almost daily beating the piss out of it, and myself, and haven't had a single problem. You'll be fine.
 
I wouldn't worry. get the foam installed, cover the top side of the lower link with a piece of gaff tape and ride the shit out of it.
 
I must admit, I am somewhat worried also. I understand that you get issues posted on a forum but some of the problems, like an unsealed motor case gives me cause for concern. My LBS has one in stock from an earlier build date but I am wondering if I should have a new one ordered instead. I didn’t want to wait but...
 
If you take the plunge with the Levo, key thing is to get it from a dealer who knows the bikes, and secondly, which you have already done, is to do your research, end up on this forum, and be aware of the potential issues.

If you are aware of what can go wrong, and the steps you should take to avoid these issues (or make sure your bike shop has done them for you) then you should be ok.

The reality of the Levo, is that in the quest to integrate everything so much means that its a far more complex bike than a lot of other EMTB's, and as a result has more fiddly nooks and crannies. As such some of the maintenance reflect this.

Bear in mind the levo motor is sealed, it just happens to be inside a protective cover that isn't sealed.
Lots of other brands have the motor itself on the outside and don't have an additional protective cover at all.
 
The posts are saying go for it - a 'faint heart never ***********.....if you read posts relating to other brands you will see that they all have their own issues - I read one post recently about a brand that apparently out performs specialised for distance. The poster and others have since had problems which warranted the bikes being branded as not fit for purpose such that the suppliers/manufacturers have had to replace the bikes.
Dither and you'll miss out
 
I have a 2019 carbon comp and not complaints at all. As someone said earlier people are quick to post problems and their is no way to know if those problems are from not taking care of the bike. I love mine
 
They all can have issues. The Levo is the most popular Emtb on the planet, so with more in the field, the more issues people will complain about.
Other than the noisy motor issue with the first batch, I haven’t had any failures with the new bikes.
 
All bikes can have issues, if the specialized is what you want, then that is what you should buy
I've got a cube and haven't had any real issues
One thing I will say about specialized, if they have a problem they usually sort it out ?.
So I wouldn't cancel your orders
 
I have been posting on the problem threads because unfortunately I have had one with my 2019 SW. Do I regret buying it? - NO WAY! - it's laugh out loud good and restored my passion for biking 110% - you absolutely won't regret it.
 
I really appreciate the replies from everyone, it's been a real help. I am coming from an old S-Works I bought almost 2 decades ago. I am wanting to get back into biking and instead of fixing up the old one I was going to purchase a new 2019 Turbo Levo Comp Taupe/Acid Kiwi. Last year they had a 2018 model at the shop and I really enjoyed the test ride I had on it. Since then I was diagnosed with an episode of AFib and that gets me a little nervous with all the hills in my area. This and keeping up with my son who is a tri-athlete on rides has led me to the e-bike solution. I am heading back down tomorrow to take it out for a test ride if he hasn’t already sold it. Thanks again for all you help.
 
Thanks everyone for your encouragement. I've been to my LBS this morning and am now getting it Inviisiframed on arrival. Can't wait!!??

I have an sworks and done around 1000km so far. Yes one trip to the bike shop tonhave a wire replaced and onto a second chain but everything else has been outstanding. Kee getting excited and ready for your face to hurt from smiling all the time!!
 
As discussed in my earlier post I went to my LBS on Saturday and walked out with the 2019 Turbo Levo Comp. It has been a blast to ride, but I already knew that before the purchase. ?Thanks again to everyone for all the information.
