What did you buy your ebike this week?

Duct tape will remove hair from your chest just as good as Gorilla tape …me thinks? My problem is nose hair 😳.(pro tip…don’t use fire 🔥).
Nose hairs are no problem, I use wax and a stick, rip the buggers out at the roots, it takes weeks for them to grow back if done this way, if I’ve got no wax, a pair of stout tweezers will do nearly as well just on a smaller scale, just make sure you flush them away properly down the toilet 😁👍

Last time I was on holiday in Turkey I took myself off for what I thought would be a quick haircut at a bargain price.

I had my haircut, great job, but what followed was the last thing I expected. Two large blobs of hot melted wax shoved up my nostrils, followed by the insertion of a cotton wool bud in each orifice. Wait five minutes to cool down and set and then a short sharp pull to tug them out. Ouch!! Every single trace of nasal hair was cleanly removed!

Yep that’s what I use, a DIY nose hair wax kit, I’ll be first to admit it hurts the first couple of times but after that it’s completely painless, I’ve been doing it for years, most of the time I can’t be bothered buying a kit so I just rip them out with a wide ended pair of tweezers 👍

You people are weird. Anyway, I'm only here to say wheel manufacturers like for example RACEFACE who offset their valve holes such that they slope on the rim & therefore don't seal no matter how much you tighten the valve will be first against the wall when I become president.

Turkish revenge on the British island nation.

I tried the tweezers on one nose hair. It hurt like hell and it bled, a lot. Not tried that since.
I cannot imagine what a complete nose job would feel like.:poop:
It does hurt like hell the first few times Steve, after that it gets easier and painless mate, I speak from experience, the advantages outweigh the disadvantages especially like me I have restricted nasal passages ☹️

Gentlemen! Behave! My impression of one or the other is currently taking on completely new features!

Right time for safety moment! You may not have heard about morbus kobold, what appears to be a german thing as not for export, but a note to those of you who appear like to experiment, a milk frother is not suitable!

I have just ordered some brake pads from Merlin Cycles (half price) for my grandson's Orange 5 RS, new in 2015. In 2020 it was expertly refurbished by James, a member on here, but I can't recall his username. It was a Covid project, but he took up emtb and hardly rode it after that! So he sold it to me in 2021 and I gave it to my grandson for his birthday (he was so excited, I thought he was going to have a heart attack. :ROFLMAO:)

The pads were ones I'd not come across before Shimano G05S-RX - Resin.
They still look like brake pads, so you don't need a pic.

just to save some of you guys some pain....both nose and bum hairs are there for a reason!! Just cut off any annoying/protuding excess. Now eyebrows are a different matter altogether!!

Just to legitimise this post ......I just bought some ergon GA3 grips to help alleviate recent onset of right hand thumb pain....and they work...like them.

My Dorado Pro's eventually arrived yesterday, were shipped from Germany by dhl & some reason turned around and returned to sender - believe by customs 🤷‍♂️
second try at shipping worked but I got caught for vat & import so the forks worked out £1200 (~£900 & vat & import:cry:)

I must admit to have expected the extra costs and they were still cheaper than buying here in the UK so:cool:

these are december 2023 dated and have the newer twin-bolt top crowns.

shiney things:p

Carbon fiber main tubes (y)

they've the 20x110 axles so I needed wheels / hums to build, being a collector of things I had bought stuff from Wiggle before they closed and this included 3 Nukeproof Neutron wheels (20x100 in 29") as they were cheap ~£25 each!
when I checked these there were 2 @ 20x110boost and one @ 15x100 so luckily I'd been sent 3 wrong wheels but 2 were just what I needed(y)

now to play with my new toy that I cant ride due to injury....

Rich.

Got a 27.5 rear wheel that had all the right stuff for a cassette and rotor swap and was equipped with a CushCore and superboost. So now I’m all mullet-ed.
I’ve ridden it some and can’t say with certainty that’s it’s better but I can feel the CushCore back there.

They look amazing, keep us posted with what you think once you've recovered 👍

Postman Pat, DPD and Evri has came today with this lot 😁 after my crank arm debacle I decided to not trust to luck with this job so I ordered everything I thought I’d need, new 155mm crank arms, crank arm caps in red and removal tool, aluminium grease, chain ring retaining nut and tool, O ring and a 32mm socket, I’m now waiting for some new pedals as the old ones were seized completely solid and the Allen key socket is toast, oh well it’ll be sorted when they arrive 🙄
