Rode about 20 miles with the Mrs this afternoon, up Venus Woods then for a Naughty Armstrong toasted sandwich at the Cocking Down Cadence café. Yeah I know, Venus and Cocking makes us laugh too!

I was thinking that the Merckx looks the business, coming over the the UK next year, is that and average sort of price for take away sandwiches/toasties or is that sort of a flashier sort of place? I remember going to truck shop cafes and getting a full English breakfast, black pudding and all the works for a couple of quid. It was about 30 years ago but was figuring it would still be a bit cheaper than 8 pounds for basically a sandwich.
It's south of England and in an expensive area, but hospitality prices have hugely increased since lockdown.
Two bacon rolls and two teas in Dent Yorkshire a few weeks ago £22 . 50. Same everywhere now I think.
That's not what is meant by "Single Track", Rohai!

Depends how "posh" you want to be ..
Bacon & Sausage bun & a regular Latte in Greggs ( outlets all over the UK) just over £3.00..slightly more " expensive" if you want it in a baguette..
Sausage & Egg McMuffin & a regular Latte at McDonalds..currently £2.69.
Both on the breakfast menu at each establishment prior to 11.00am ..
No Greggs or MaccieD in Dent though, as we know...

From the door this afternoon ..never more than 4miles away from home as the crow flies ..but in a forest this large you soon get the feeling of being out there and remote..
Bellingham Country Show this weekend and the show field is starting to come together ( which one is the beer tent ?) .
Into the forest ..up until a year ago this area was really only known to locals ..but Forestry England seem to be promoting it to a wider audience ( is nothing sacred
)
Some lesser known tracks with a hands & knees crawl through and a B/ way which was blocked after a couple of miles with a fallen tree ..
Part two found me on the Sandstone Way which disects most of Northumberland from Hexham to Berwick ..I cocked up slightly ( on purpose) and ended up on the Pennine Way and the excellent rock feature that is Shitlington Crags ..not before getting my feet wet on a river crossing too deep to ride ..
Great few hours out

Heck ya! Enjoying the summer here in Reno, Nevada. Thankful I can ride and still have fun @ 57!

Just a couple from an early evening sesh.
No you have to put in to the local community . We can all make sandwiches etc before we go and i do most of the time , but you need to bite the bullet sometimes. It hurts but needs to be done sometimes.
