Started holidays in the Okanagan a few days ago …made a pit stop.
Eventually made it to this dump.
So I thought we should make the best of it.
Went for a few rides and came across this 3” PVC pipe farm. They’ll be around 10’ tall in September when they harvest.
Got to see The Doors during the ride.

In my defence, I'd been down the pub & shouldn't have been cycling. Nevertheless, a perfectly navigable barrier jumped out in front of me, unprovoked & threw me to the ground
It's really annoying when the accomodation isn't as advertised ..I would ask the bastards for a full refund ..

Day(something?) of our vacation. 7 others are still sleeping but I still get the bikes ready. A few years ago I convinced our other friends to get ebikes so the garage is starting to get cluttered.
Wife and I are ready to go. Not a lot of trails around here but some interesting routes past, almost, every winery.
Stock is getting pretty low.
I won $28 in coin last night (money game for 8). We'll be able to stop for ice cream on the way home now.
I’m an early riser so I just sit by this large water container in the morning …until everyone wakes.
Oh yeah, I had some time in the morning to replace all the receptacles, light switches, fan timers and install several USB and USB-C receptacles throughout the house. I’m a fake electrician btw.

I still see progress. Riding gloves are 100% better than white socks.
After my pootle on the Lakeside Way midweek ..back up to Kielder again on the rougher stuff for a few hours this afternoon after finishing the domestic duties my good lady had set out ( err a bit of housework & gardening ..nowt spicy ) .
An absolutely glorious afternoon with the trails dry & ( dare I say it ..dusty ) ..a complete opposite to the last time I visited Deadwater earlier in the month when I could hardly see two yards / metres in front of me ..

Next up a bit of an adventure this coming Wednesday with @The EMF over in The Western Lakes on a route in and around Loweswater roughly described to me by my Doctor ( pretty cool that he patches me up then sends me out to potentially hurt myself again
) ..and which myself and Wayne have managed to scrabble together ..
Not sure what to expect other than I'm told the scenery is fantastic ..fingers crossed ..

New bearings in the front Mulefut hub tonight and hopefully the retaped rear rim will hold pressure so normal bloated service can be resumed

The North Face is a bit meh, but the forest and surrounding areas have some good stuff and make for great rides out
