Saturday night special. There was a young quine from Clochan who wiped her xxxx we a dockan. Now the docking bein thin her finger went in. So she finished it off with her stocking.
Folk I met always said better in the summer with the lake and everything . I always thought of taking wife in summer but we have had enough of travelling to be honest.

Quick and late after work tour today. Not much mountain biking, but at least some "quality time" on two wheels. ^^

Still trying to build up some fitness so a ride on the old railway line from Killin to Callander. I thought railway lines were flat.
In the 28 miles I did I still managed to do 1822 ft of elevation and get a sore arse because I am not bike fit by a long way. I will get there.

Don’t know what happened to the photos there. One downloaded and the rest had a green symbol and never downloaded so I tried another way and they still never came out proper.

On my way home, again, I had to take this picture on a very clear day. Mount Baker U.S. of A in the background.
But my morning climb was interesting.
Took me several minutes to escape from this uphill crash. Backpack was top heavy and I thought I could make it.
I was actually riding opposite of where the bike lay. Over backwards and pinned between the bike and backpack full of heavy wood decking. Couldn’t find the release straps.
Soft landing though …bike was just fine.
But my morning climb was interesting.

Got out early(ish) before temp got silly high. Saw this near The Earl of March pub in Lavant. Our local MP is Gillian Keegan, looks like we're not the only ones who think she's a waste of space

Yes, surprising how much clag it catches in muddy weather TBH.
Kielder again for me today ..wanted to get an earlier start than the elevenish time I got going but it was still misty & quite cool for the first 40mins or so ..then el scorchio..
Osprey ..my trail of choice today ..but didn't see the sign saying a certain section was closed until I got there ( Forestry work ) ..so had to turn back and then add on a few extra bits ..
Deadwater Fell ..no summit today although I did do the last section ( Twist & Shout ) to get me in the mood
Kielder Castle ( mag x7.5 )..with the observatory top left ( dark skies area)
Fantastic singletrack for a Blue trail ..it just flows so well..
By 1.00pm I was looking for a nice cool place to eat my sarnie ..and Wainhope Bothy fit the bill perfectly ..left in superb condition by its previous visitor ..
The last section of singletrack ( Osprey Chick) ..which has only recently re-opened ..was a cracking way to finish the ride ..

Not often I venture down this part of my local woods. Two dry days one wet seems to be the pattern. Don't normally meet much folk , today about 60 teenage walkers from Gordonston public school , never had so many folk saying thank you in my life . Bless them .

Yes, intentionally as I seem to do more climbing than descending lol both front and rear set backwards
