Rail (750Wh) Gen 3 9.8XT smart error code 503019

Trek Rail gen 3 9.8XT displayed this error today and wouldn't stay on. it did throw it up midride a few weeks ago but switched itself on and off again and was fine. Now it won't stay on
Checked all wires and connections that i can see.

i think its something to do with undervoltage? anyone any experience?

The issue I had was with the electrical connection to the battery. A monetary and intermittent loss of power would cause a few different issues. Sometimes I could peddle through it but sometimes an error would show on the Kiox.

Tightening up the battery location seemed to fix the issue for me. A diagnostic from the LBS may be necessary.

The only error code I saw was 504? once. Within a few weeks I did visit the lbs for a diagnosis and software update. Nothing since thank goodness.

This is a dealer issue.. particularly on a newer bike.

The error code from Bosch states
Error 503019

The motor control is not working properly.​

This may cause the eBike to switch off automatically and mean that no motor support is available.
