Pic of the Day

Anybody got a picture of a bike? Or a mountain? Or a sunset? Or a rock? Or Switzerland? Anything really….

Sometimes when you think you know an area ( after riding in it for 20+years ) it can still throw up a huge surprise ..
I met up with Wayne again yesterday at Rothbury to check out a bridleway at the foot of Simonside (at the end of the Simonside Hills )..stretching over towards Fallowlees in Harwood Forest .. which I'd never really noticed before ..and upon checking older maps it didn't exist .
So an exploratory route which we still managed to cock up by taking a path ..instead of the " new" bridleway ..but what a path it turned out to be..with two or three other interesting sections ..
We did eventually come across the b/ way at its exit and will ride it in reverse the next time to see where we went wrong
Another fantastic ride ..albeit short ..but tough due to the conditions ..some pics from both mine & Wayne's collection .

In spring & autumn you should put a carbon on the front and alu on the rear 👊🏽
The mismatched winter wheels wtb czi30 on hope hub on front CRC did 50% & Santa Cruz reserve alloy rim on rear laced to industry 9 1&1 hub

Pensioners day out at the Cabrach. Summited Corriehabbie 781 mtrs. Lot of eh what did you say, left not right you silly old &&&& . Few river crossings as well thrown in . Luckily Drummond worked for the waterboard all his life so we're in safe hands. Very cold minus 3 or 4 so first frosty ride for us all. Great to get out though.

Scottish re-make of Last of the Summer Wine? (You need to be old to remember it)
And I hope Hodge and EMF have noted that you are using cheap knock-off versions of their patented Stream Crossing Water Exclusion Units in black. (aka binbags). They will see you in court.

Yeah it certainly hadn't escaped my attention ..I've been straight on the blower to our legal team at Haddaway & Shight ...and I'm awaiting further advice ..

Sunset in Funchal Madeira- the good news is the cheap good to me wine, not so good is Tap Portugal losing my wife's suitcase and the worse news is 65 euros a day to rent a mtn e-bike

When the slop is a bit deeper than you thought. Front wheel goes in, gut hits the bars, phone comes off, best part is you don’t know it’s gone until you’re 2 miles down the road 😂😂

I keep mine in a top shirt pocket with button undone when I'm walking hills. I drink from burn plop in it goes 3 times so far.

I used to keep my phone in my zipped trouser pocket, but I broke two phones when having an involuntary dismount. So now it travels inside my backpack. Inconvenient, but at least I have never broken a screen since.

That's the sensible thing to do ...but I'm still carrying mine in either jacket or bottoms ..as I take too many pics to put it in the back-pack each time ..
That will probably change with the first cracked screen ..touch wood I've been lucky so far as I've also had more than my fair share of " offs" ..😁

The three of you looked like you’ve lost a tenner and found a pound 😂

Brilliant. I'm usually solo so it's a treat to cycle with people. Except the same route takes at least twice as long. 6 hours yesterday probably only did 24 miles max.
While I'm not averse to riding solo I much prefer riding with others ..there's just something about sharing the occaision with like minded mates ..and the daft craic 😁.
The fact that it takes longer is a fair trade for the company
