Absolute PITA! Had to drop the motor but we got there in the end.

But the last learning of the day was: first inflation with tubeless setup is nearly impossible without a compressor, so I had to take the wheel to a friend to help me out.

8000!!!! My DHR is looking knackered after 300! 😂 I think I'll try something different when it dies.

FYI - first ride with wife with 43mm Spank Split stem today (after trailside adjusting wife's handlebar angle which I hadn't got quite right, my bad). Blimey, rocketship gravity downhill on rough chalky/flinty trail, don't think she touched her brakes! At the end she said "that's just like skiing flat out". Indeed o_O (25.9mph on my Kiox).

It helps to put an inner tube in first. Leave it pumped up overnight then remove and put sealant in, you'll find the tyre will seat much easier.
 
Thought i'd try a microshift drivetrain. advent X 10speed der, shifter and 11-50 cassette. Shifts quite well. Ez set up, slick little clutch switch, mega pulleys and adjusts with allen keys instead of a mix of allen keys and torqx. Im impressed. Now we'll see if the duribility is improved on this latest stuff
 
Getting in early in the anticipation of actually being able to ride soon maybe and by then it will be shitty weather.
Some custom GTX to replace my previous pair that were brilliant if a little small (half a size up, now gone a full size up)

I've had my eye on some of those, but slightly begrudge paying £160 from Adidas when the black ones are much cheaper elsewhere and they'll be covered in shite after the first ride

Yeah they make some good quality gear, glad the injury was not too bad 👍

Cracked ribs are one of the worst injuries in the sense you can do nothing for them and just have to wait for them to heal
