Early evening ride out of Rothbury into the Simonside Hills with my good buddy Wayne ( C'mon 10-4 ..Rubber Duck )..sorry couldn't help myself there..
Cracking little emtb mode ride which I did record ..( after remembering to switch on after 2 miles ..but forgetting to switch off until I travelled 20 odd miles home in the car ..🤪).

Cracking blast around and a canny pint in The Turks Head Rothbury afterwards
Hexhamshire Common next on Saturday..👍

Another spiffing jaunt last night on a 16 mile loop out of Rothbury in the Corquet Valley with my good buddy “Rubber Glove” sorry I couldn’t help that 😆
Fast trails very dry and throughly enjoyable. As always finishing off with a pint of the Black Stuff in the Turks.
Cheers mate.

That’s the Hodge strutting his stuff on the very fast, steep and loose drop down to Hepple Whitfield.

See their trying to dig up a dogs remains at Dambusters hanger and move elsewhere. It was the wing commander Guy Gibson who led the Dambusters raids Black labrador. Kind of mascot . Its got a racial name .

Looks like you and Hodge have gotten y’selves a Convoy. Anyone aged under 50 won’t have a fkn clue what we’re on about……

Not a good start 20 miles from home ping remembered i never took battery bolt. Got tape at Nairn so saved the day. Left Corrie Halie for Badralach the public Road ends there . Track to Scoraig and back. Some knarly bits on it but only walked forty metres max I reckon. Fell over edge twice putting foot down not the bike just me. Photo of Ullapool across the water 40 years ago I came over on a Raleigh Winner on a twelve foot boat the good old days. The Altnaharra Inn was at the pier then all shut now its a house. Strange place Scoraig no electricity it was wind and solar powered before we knew much about wind power 25 years ago maybe. Sixty folk their primary school as well Some weird little houses there no road in.so any car has been taken over by boat .Run out of water found a tap but forky tails coming out so got some at a village hall type place thats just left open for all to use.
Enjoy .

Don't ask ..😉..
I didn't... but I think Wayne is getting his nuts untangled at our lunch stop after carrying a 7kg backpack ( he was keen to see how comfortable it would be with a spare battery )

Running for home.
Why is your bike dressed like it's going to a Toga Party ?? Is this some Scottish tradition relating to Roman history I'm unaware of ?

If it's for electronics protection, I thought someone like you would have an old wet suit you could cut up and keep the zip section so you can wrap it round the bike, zip up, voila !

I had had a few drams last night and there were a lot of sheep 🐑 sniffing about the van. And the usual German / Dutch bikers ???.
PS
Just checked van no sheep just some droppings.
