Thanks Paolo for looking into this, but no need to spend time if there does not seem an easy fix. The first phone was Android 7.1.1 with the files in /BLEvo. The second phone is Android 10 and the backup was restored into /Android/data/com.dopa.android.blevo/files/BLEvo.
Ok, but if you backup from the old phone in the folder /BLEvo, the restore on Android 10 should be done in /Android/data/com.dopa.android.blevo/files/BLEvo...
I will try to do some more test...

Hello Paolo

I just saw on page 2 that you updated openandromap. Last ride I did notice this change and wonder why it looks different. But is it possible to switch back to the old version? I don’t want to see so much point of interest, bus station etc. Can’t even remind me that there was the number from the houses to see an the map. It looks totally confusing now. You can see it on the picture! Is there a way that it looks like before? Please was much better ! Thx

Hi Paolo,

I've noticed that the current version 3.11.2 (Android) has changed the way it writes altitude values into the FIT files. The elevation profile using RideWithGPS and these FIT files shows steps of about 3m increments, so when zoomed in the profile looks like a staircase. This never happened with version 3.11.0 and earlier, with the elevation profile looking far smoother.

I've inspected the FIT files using FitFileTools (Microsoft Store) and you can see the elevation data in each record does not change until there is at least a 3m difference in elevation. This is not the case with the corresponding CSV files as they show a much smoother altitude variation. FIT files written with version 3.11.0 have much smoother elevation changes.

Is this intentional? Thanks for your fine efforts.

+1 I tried to switch to one of the other map styles, but nothing is as good as it was before the change.

Yes, this is intentional because otherwise the elevation gain with the file generated by BLEvo was not correct. With the step of 3m of increment, the elevation gain is calculated correctly. I know that it is not very good to see, but I prefer to have a correct elevation gain calculation.

In the new release, you can choice the theme you want.
Under the folder /BLEvo/MAPS/theme/ you can copy the xml file with the theme of Andromap you want. In this folder, if you omit to copy the images, you will have the same map as in the previous version... Obviously you have to select the custom theme in BLEvo.
You can find the XML to load in BLEvo here
Legend andromaps_mtb mountainbike theme

I hope this can solve your issue.

Just bought a 2018 Carbon Levo and using BLEvo I notice that when I make some Changes, I’m always in ACC Race mode?
BLEvo doesn’t seem to allow me to change the ACC on the 2018 Levo.

Can BLEvo be updated to expose the Acceleration slider for the 2018 Turbo Levo Carbon or is there a way I can adjust the ACC back to standard?
I’m using iOS and please also a landscape option would be so helpful :)

Hi,
Any new on how to adjust ACC on a 2018 Levo? When I use mission control and set everything to default, ACC shows as STD when I switch back to BLEvo.
However as soon as I make a change in Blevo it also (some how) changes ACC to Race?

Also I noticed that blevo shows my battery at 100% to only be 460wh but it has been verified at my Specialized dealer that it is indeed the 504wh battery as expected on the expert carbon model?

If anyone could help with these 2 issues it would really be great.
Thanks

Hi again,
@PaoloBLEvo is there somewhere better to get support for the app? I bought the app on IOS and can’t seem to get support anywhere regarding these issues?
If I should be asking somewhere else please can someone direct me?

The app seems to be providing incorrect info, making ACC changes by it’s self.
if I make any change in BLEvo that deviates from the default missing control settings, BLEvo automatically changes ACC from STD to Race.
However there is no way for me to adjust ACC independently on a 2018 Levo Expert, so how can I have BLEvo make some changes without it forcing ACC race onto me?

Battery is reading incorrectly,
BLEvo states battery is 460wh at 100% but Specialized confirm, as do stickers etc etc that battery is indeed a 504wh battery and 100% health with only a few charge cycles.

This seems like the best place to get support but maybe I missed another forum or website?

Thanks again,

I have been using Blevo with Openadromaps for many years now, using the Tiramisu theme so I get a white background.

I figured it was time to update the maps to the latest version, your link in the app directs to Openandromaps version 4 which have not been updated in almost a year.

I downloaded version 5 maps instead and they work ok, except the Tiramisu theme no longer works.
I will try to manually download that theme and install it since it is now possible and report back.

Sorry for my late answer...
Maybe BLEvo doesn't recognise the battery.

Could you send to me the screenshot of the bike setup or the battery monitor?

Hi Paulo,
Do you know why a 10.23.1 firmware battery on a 2018 Levo doesn’t allow access to change to Acceleration?

And why when I make a change in BLEvo, I press “start ride” the bike shows as being “35/40/100 ACC Race”

However if open mission control and reset the settings to default, and then go back to BLEvo, start a new ride back, it states 30/40/100 ACC STD.

I’d like to simply keep ACC TO STD at all times.

The battery MHW issue I will take a screen shot of and post for you, but do you have any idea how/why BLEvo seems to force my bike into ACC RACE mode?

Is ACC RACE mode tied to the speed setting, so if you change speed, you HAVE to be in ACC Race?

BLEvo doesn’t give me any way to change ACC in any way, on my 2018 levo?
I assume this was removed by firmware 10.23.1?

is there a recommended/optimal firmware thst BLEvo plays best with?

is there any way to access the ACC setting with BLEvo on my 2018 bike (FW 10.23.1) and/or is ACC tied to the speed restriction setting in any way?

thanks

Update:
I just checked again, and as soon as I make a change in BLEvo thst deviates from the default’s (speed) it does indeed change ACC to RACE?

Any clarification why this is?

I did a ride yesterday with Blevo Smart HR turned on and set at 130bpm. "Trail" was set for 11-99% assist. I didn't realized Blevo disconnected itself after about 2 minutes so it was off for 20 miles. Is there any way to determine how much support I was riding with?

Does anyone know why Blevo speech synthesizer stops working somewhere into my rides on an iPhone? Usually after an hour or so I lose the voice annunciations. I hated this feature at first, but now can't live without it. Saves me from looking at my phone, and keeps me aware of my battery burn consumption on longer trips. thanks

Hi Paolo. I am having a problem with elevation data on my android phone. Figures are very high about 3 times what it should be. I have tried to sort it but cant seem to find cause. Any suggestions.

Don’t know if I missed this reading through the comments and manual, but as there is section on a different remote, can you not change through the 3 settings with the standard remote while using Blevo? So say I set up the smart hr and power for the 3 different settings (eco, trail, turbo) can I switch through them with the standard bar buttons?

Hi ppl! Been using blevo on my turbo Levo Comp 2021 and I just sent it in on service and the service guy calls me to ask if it's okay if he installs the latest software on the bike. Does the latest version of software from specialized work with blevo? Or should I tell him to not update anything on the bike?

Pablo thanks for an excellent piece of software! Love it and it's capabilities!

Cheers

I have a Creo that I ride with the app. The Smart Assist is super nice. I am considering the range extender for my bike. How does the app handle them?

Hello, I have an iPhone 8 and an Apple Watch series 7. BLEvo is on the iPhone but the BLEvo app doesn’t appear on the Apple Watch. It also doesn’t show in the list of apps on the Watch app on the iPhone.
Does BLEvo work with Apple Watch series 7?

thanks
James

Specialized decided to remove the ACC setting in the new firmware.
Honestly I didn't understand how you are able to check the ACC set if it is not possible to change..
Maybe the string in BLEvo is not correct...

When BLEvo is disconnected from the Bike, the support is the latest set with the Smart HR. You can check on the CSV file. It should be logged.
But why BLEvo was disconnected?

Yes, BLEvo is compatible with the all version of the TCU with Blue LED
