How long can the bike sleep before the Mastermind's battery is too weak to start up? On the Levo, I just have a frame so putting it to normal riding use isn't an option yet. It seems that I have to pull the TCU and charge it up on the USB-C port every few weeks. Seems a bit fiddly - is that normal?

Maybe because you are turning the bike on without the main battery installed, it takes its charge from there when riding.
Specialized workbook says :
“• Fully charging the internal MasterMind TCU battery will take up to 1.5 hours (either through riding the bike or through connecting the display via a USB-C cable to a power source)
• A fully charged internal battery will allow the bike to
be powered on during 1 year without charging it or powering the bike on; different storage temperatures and conditions will affect this time span; moderate storage temperatures preserve the state of charge better.”

No, the main battery is installed and I charged it up to about 50%. The firmware is the factory default, showing a turtle icon locked to something like 15kph and saying that it needs to be updated. Maybe this has something to do with the firmware.

New ebike and first post so please excuse if this has been discussed in another thread. Just picked up a 2022 Levo Expert and took out this last weekend. First off what hoot these bikes are. New to this so not familiar with the sounds. But bike tested at bike shops and mine were silent in beginning. Now taking it out to the trail Saturday was pretty quiet from the motor until the end day and then started slowly getting louder and louder motor hummming sounds. Then Sunday it started humming earlier and then getting louder than Saturday by the end of the day. Question is this normal? Should i be concerned that with these sounds will leave me deep in the woods? I bought it with 20 miles from a private party now I have 86 miles or 2 rides.

i’m not overly happy with the noise from my gen 3 levo either. Much like you describe….my riding mates say it sounds like somebody running on a treadmill, rubber belt going round and round at high frequency. Gets noisier as the ride goes on. But i’ve reconciled it to the conclusion that its just the way they are, and (importantly) its near silent on the downs - unlike the metal clak from a bosch or shimano (i also have a trek rail).

Mine doesn’t make noticeable noise when climbing or descending. Try to take a video with sound to share. Did you get the original purchase receipt so that there’s a possibility for warranty if there’s an issue?

Can someone confirm if the seat collar bolt is an M5x18 capped head bolt? Thanks in advance...not in front of my bike right now and need to get a new bolt ordered.

Mine gets louder the longer I ride. Also the harder I ride and the warmer the ambient air temperature the greater the noise. This has been the same for the last two generations of Kenevo’s (same Brose motors as the Levo) I’ve owned. They’re never silent, the volume varies from bike to bike but much quieter than any other brand. My friends Kenevo SL (Mahle motor) is quite a lot louder than the Brose motor in our bikes.

In a nutshell it’s normal, don’t worry about it and go and enjoy your new bike.✊

Thanks for all the responses. If this is the norm so be it. But I will say my brother picked up a new Giant Trance and it was much quieter on same trails.

But the following day in the flats its quiet stealth mode again. Just like Mike640 said. Its January and cool I suspect it will be screaming at me as the seasons warm up and how hard I work her.

All in all I'm impressed coming from a moto enduro background and use too a little noise. Just want make sure there is no break in motor adjustments that I could be missing. Plug and Play yay

Anyone with a Gen3 Expert, Pro, or S-works have this rear upper brake line guide on their frame from the factory? I see it in the 2022 small parts schematic (see the arrow pointing to the guide), but it’s not on my expert and the rear brake line rubs against the frame. My frame has a bolt inserted, but no guide.

The photo of actual bike below is a friends 2021 Comp. You can see the brake line guide circled in yellow.

Just checked my 22 Expert and no bracket but does have a invisframe type sticker to stop it rubbing. Looking at the way the brake cable is it doesn’t need a clamp
