Since we ride in different areas we must occasionally run across some sort of wildlife. Getting that camera out fast enough or riding away for your life can be an experience. Whether it’s a trail dog, Elk, insect, etc… or a footprint made by Sasquatch, post that pic.

I've come across all sorts of things (from a UK perspective - no wolves, no bears!). Deer, buzzards, kestrels, pheasants, grouse, grass snakes, horses, alpacas, cows (and bulls!), hares, rabbits, goats, turkeys, geese, ducks, etc.

Granted not much there that's overtly dangerous but two tonnes of bull would be difficult to walk away from...

None that aren’t other humans (or various almost mythical big cats such as the ‘Beast of Bodmin Moor’)

Gee gee's. The national trust ship them in as cheap lawnmowers up on the local beauty spot. The one in the hat isn't a horse, that's the apple of my eye & chief drain on my bank account..

Our big animals are coyotes, bobcats, and deer. The biggest are mountain lions and bears. Here are a few pics of the little ones.

Quite often bump into these fellas out on the trails in the Isle of Man. A couple escaped from a wildlife park years ago and have been very successful at breeding... Little buggers are getting everywhere!

Almost ran into this guy on my way down a popular trail here in Tasmania. Usually see the odd wallaby or pademelon, but this was my first time seeing an echidna!

Deer, turkey, eagle, osprey, lynx, vulture (look alive), and the big one, Mr Gator! I may have seen a Florida Panther but it was far away and moved fast. So did I. I ride mostly in a preserve, there are also wild hogs and coyote but we don't see them much.

I'm feeling hard by. I live in Hamburg and I got really excited last year when I spotted a slow worm on the path.

I'd have reservations about riding in places where not only is the bike, the trails & the lack of skill trying to kill you but also the wildlife.

We have slow worms too. Alway basking in the sunshine in the middle of the trail. I tend to hop over them. I know my front wheel clears them, hope the rear wheel does too!

I love keas! Beautiful animals. The only member of the parrot family that eats meat (I think). Highly intelligent and curious. Very bad to park near (cars or bikes, I should think)
