I've disabled all emails from thread related stuff. Saved preferences. I'm constantly getting emails still.

Any ideas anyone. Thanks.

It doesn't act retrospectively on threads you already watch. You have to click unwatch on them at the top and then watch again to get it to reset. You should be able to use Rob's link to do the same.
 
I might have to sub soon or get an adblocker as its getting crazy now with 7 different ads alone just on the general forum as I scroll down. Maybe im doing too much online shopping and its made this forum go crazy.
 
Quite scary how fast time goes .. my 1st year just ran out ..

This turned out to be a good thing.

I recently changed mobile providers as my phone didn't work at my new homeless spot. Unfortunately, the new SIM never came, but the number was ported.

Like many modern companies, you can't contact the phone company until your sim is activated and you can't activate your sim if you don't have it. So my old number would appear to be lost forever.

Hence, I ordered a new SIM from another company who actually seem to post them out. I hadn't really considered some of the implications though.

Like, logging into paypal ... where you have the enter the code they text you.. Ah, but they can't because that number doesn't exist. :ROFLMAO:

OK, so you click "I'm having trouble logging on" ... Ping - we have cancelled your password and you need to setup a new one .. o_O

That's ok .. select "contact paypal" - login (and enter code) to contact paypal. :confused:

Search through the help and select, "I need to change my phone number as I don't have access to the old one" .. no problem .. click here > login to paypal to change yor phone number. :mad:

OK. Telephone paypal ... No problem, login to paypal to get a code so we know it's you .... :cry::cry:

After going through all the international paypals, I found a working "chat" on the American one last night ... after an hour he said sorry .. he couldn't help. :sleep:

On the bright side, it no longer asked me to enter a code sent to my mobile ... it just sent me to a big error screen with no options. :confused::mad:

So, I do the same hoops with UK chat today .. whilst I'm in the chat getting no further than last night .. I get an automated e-mail from the Forum demanding huge amounts of money. Which needs me to login to PAYPAL to pay ... arghhhhhhhhh

I give it a go anyway .. paypal logon ..

Instead of an error screen or even the old phone number screen ... It asked me TO ENTER A NEW PHONE NUMBER ! to send a code to !!!

IT WORKED !!

£5 subscriber/Fix your paypal login even when paypal can't fix it..
