Heard about a possible new e bike dropping. Orbea, Shimano motor, and sime new battery tech that Eldon Musk has a hand in. Around 35lbs...

.. anyone else heard a rumor like that?

I don't believe there will be anything new about the battery. Maybe just a variation of lithium chemistry or cell size. Maybe it's going to be a hydrogen bike?

I also heard rumors of this but surprise there isn’t a single spy shot. Can’t seem to find any mention of it on the web.

I saw this post on FB. Fingers crossed that the rumours are true, if they are I know I’ll be buying one!

Bike nerds please correct me . Am I mistaken in saying the frame looks like same shape as a Levo ?

That picture is not the new ebike, that picture is the current orbea rallon. That post is just speculating that the new bike might look like the rallon.

I was shown a picture of one today. It's very slim and elegant. 16kg reputedly.

I can't wait to see this new bike, roughly same weight as a Levo SL but with 31Nm more torque and a slightly larger internal battery.

Someone on a German forum a few month back claimed to have riden a prototype of a bike with a new shimano motor and 48v system, they got shot down but where pretty adamant that there was another motor apart form the EP8 out there:

"Yesterday I was allowed to briefly test a prototype of a German small manufacturer with the new Shimano in the parking lot. It is very small, identical to the SL1 from Specialized, but should continue to deliver 500 watts. Probably with 48 volts, for more efficiency. That is why it probably works as a light ebike unit (target weight for the bike yesterday with a 375WH battery should be 18 kilos). Appeared to me (under light load) very quiet - similar to Fazua".

Are they really going to tease just 1 vague statement a day on the site? Really dragging things on I'd say.
If they are going with a new Shimano motor, along with the failed/troubled launch of the EP8 ...... then I don't blame them. Probably saying extremely nervous! ?

sounds like a winner if it uses a range extender as well, i would not buy an sl without one because i want at least 50% power for 30 or 40 miles and 5k feet

So its looks like the battery system from their Gain bikes paired up with either an EP8 or a new Shimano motor

So the teaser dropped today:
Sure looks like a Levo SL sized eMTB from this still I grabbed:

There was a picture in another thread thats now been taken down, it basically lookalike a Occam without that brace

Well Shimano motors where developed out of the fishing reel ones they do, and Bosch and Brose out of power steering and windscreen wipe motors
