As i mentioned in the german board i´m so afraid if there would be a PIKE in the new LEVO. My Öhlins works so well meanwhile i´m thinkin about keeping it and change forks before selling my old LEVO.
What do you think about that?

thats what i do I have a 160mm lyric and its followed me through three bikes

There’s need and there’s want...

If we’re being completely honest I suspect that there are very few members of the forum who actually need an eBike, but we all want one.

I'm one of them, i really didn't want it, but i NEEDED it, cause after my "no mountainbiker" wife got one, i had no chance to follow her up the hills anymore. Ok, that was before my first test-ride ... after that i WANTED it as well :)

Oops, I well and truly cocked that one up....
Major senior moment, should have gone to Spec savers.... :geek:

it seems there are only ht levo's, fs all kenovo?

They killed the Levo FSR in france! ;)

Keep calm, guess they are fiddling with the IT stuff at the moment ^^

have you ridden any? I recommend you do before you choose

I completely understand, but I'm primarily on road bike with around 8-10.000km a year and this would be my first MTB.
Want to mix up trainings during the winter and spring, when the roads are not in perfect condition, so I could ride on some nasty asphalt local roads, which I usually avoid and not worrying destroying expensive road machine. ;)
If I'm honest, I would ride this 80% on asphalt and 20% on hard packed gravel roads. As totally inexperienced in MTB, I won't be hitting rooty / rocky trails any time soon.
The main concern is, that on longer climbs(asphalt), the ride on FSR, would be much more unpleasant, even with locked rear shock?

I see, these are some important facts where the 25 km/h limitation comes into play. On rough terrain this isn't really a big problem, but if you race those asphalt roads uphill like you do on your road bike you might encounter that speed-limitation on every single climb.
Anyway, the Brose motor would be a good choice since it's decoupling 100% over 25km/h and you won't have to pedal against a motor-resistance. The added weight of the ebike (around +10kg) is a nice training effect then :)
But yes, this doesn't sound like you do need a full-suspension - but i definitely would recommend to test-ride it anyway... you wouldn't be the first "trailriding convert" after you've touched the universe of e-mtb fun ;)

Much aprishiated.(y)
Regarding speed limit, you are totally on point. The added weight, would be nice strength training if you want to push 22kg, 30km/h+ on the flat.
On 5-6% yes, but would really like to know, how fast can you push this bike on 10-12% climb, can't imagine hitting 25 km/h limit? This are Pro Tour speeds on that kind of gradients.
Removing speed limiter is always an option...ragardles Warranty. :giggle:

man are you in for a (good) surprise :)))
So basically if "someone" is not going to do any steep trail climbs, would be good idea to change front chainring and the cassette?
For example, 36T and road cassette 11-32 or 11-34?

Turbo Levo 2019 is my final pick, only have to decide on HT or FSR.
Just waiting for the official relese like most of people here, pricing and the equipment of the new FSR.
I saw the picture today and regarding the frame and battery, 2 points for FSR.;)

The Levo is still on the US site but removed on the Canadian. As usual the US is lagging behind on electric vehicles.
Still exited to see what's coming.

How do you know what to order?

I think they ride extremely well uphill.
How many of us have now been to our local Spec dealer and pre-ordered or reserved a new 2019 Turbo Levo?

and which model variant did you go for?

I have. But not a specific model (for obvious reasons!) but my name is down ?

If I got another bike I would be a eunuch by Christmas

It wouldn't take that long here!

Al, what does that mean exactly? Does that mean that Specialized has lots of Carbon Levo 2018 models but that the higher S-Works and Expert will get the 2019 update?
Seems so, yes!
j.
Not what I said at all. I just said they have all of the current 2018 carbon Levos in stock:rolleyes:
Don’t read too much into what I post, because I am not going to give anything away.
