Anyone manage to find a bottle cage with side entry or similar that doesn't cost a fortune ? Due to the frame i cant fit a bottle into a standard cage on the 160 or 140 i have.

Not sure about side loading but mine fits a 500ml bottle just fine and doesn’t snag the frame getting the bottle in or out of the cage due to the flexible material of the cage.

Bike is the 2020 160 model - cage was about £8 online (can’t remember what website)

granted its a smaller bottle and only ideal for smaller rides but anything bigger, I just wear the camelbak ?

I’ve always used specialized swat side mount bottle cage, can also fit one up components pump on there discreetly.

Both have never fallen out?

the adapter is not cube , i bought from ebay there few different ones out ther other than 1 i bought as for legs well depends i think on way you ride ,it might rub if have legs real close to your frame ,between edge of frame and cadge for my cube is about 1 inch and half ish ....if get some paper at about 6 and half inched ,bend it to fined middle then and the middle of ur bike frame then flatten it thats how much both cadges are when on and over lap ........i taken picture of under it so frame to edge of cadge as said is about 1 and half inches .. ... I currently use the BOA system with a small bottle filled with toolls, tube etc. (From Topeak) BUT the BOAis much higher than the standard bottle cage so you can't really use it for a drink bottle.
I think if I remember rightly that the large bottle didn't fit. I can't look at the moment as I am in Switzerland

Water bottle cage from Blackburn is my best choice. I did a test run with two attached to the forks of my bike pack rig; On one side I have a stove to boil and fuel, on the other I have 32 oz of water in a Nalgene. both fit well, and with the included straps, there's no concern about items slipping or coming loose. The back of the straps are rubberized for a non-slip grip, but they don't stretch, so keep them well and tight.
