Considering to buy a Rail 9.8, but I am kind of concerned by the battery range.
What kind of average range are you getting from your rides before battery dies ?

I have a 2020 Trek Powerfly 9.7 (500wh) . I rode fairly hard in turbo all morning for 10 miles of tough terrain. I rode again after lunch for 7 miles of tough single track again in turbo (1900 ft elevation climb). I still have 40% battery left.

I just got my Rail 9.8. Only 2 rides, but I was out about 2,5 hours. Did 28km and 26km, 800m and 700m elevation. A bit of gravel roads to get to the trails, but I would say 90% trails up and down. Not much flat.
EMTB mode all the way.
Both times I had 3 bars left, but I think I was close to 2,. But I don't know for sure. Looks like I'm getting around 10km for each "bar".
I'm around 80kg kitted out. Fairly aggressive rider

My 75 year old father tried it this weekend and went for a bit more than 10km and it was still 5 bars. He did mostly gravel roads and easy trails.
He loved it though ?

Assuming you mean you have 2 bars (of 5) remaining you have anything between 21% and 40% remaining. The Purion isn't very precise in this respect and is one place where the Kiox and Nyon are superior.
