I was sent the image a couple of days ago by a mate.... I think it looks like a 29er.. Tyres look 29 x 2.6 maxxis...
E tower ?

Wondering if that image could be fake, I doubt they wouldnt center their logo on the frame. Looks like there is distortion around it (top, bottom, sides).
Either somebody is practising MS Paint or that's where the battery bolts on & a sign of where Santa Cruz is at with their eee tech. Actually if you look at the carton behind, it looks more like a heavy load of BULLS.

Hi guys!

This was confirmed by our dealer in Brazil:

27,5 wheels
160mm front / 150mm rear
Shimano E8000
500wh battery
Full carbon (front and rear triangle)
20kg (here I am not sure if with aluminum wheels or reserve wheels)
Build kits from NX to XX1
2 colors (this one on the leaked pic and another bee yellow color)
Launch to be tomorrow 11th, Tuesday

My only concern with Shimano E8000 is the limited battery to 500wh...

Noooo! I want 29” and E9000. And available as frameset.
That should come next. At least the 29" wheels. First they launch the 27,5"... people buy it... than they launch the 29"... people sell their "old" e-bronson 27,5 and buy a "new" e-tower 29... lol

Announced tomorrow. A tech at a local store who also works in another bike shop (who are a Santa Cruz stockist) said they have 2 in already being built up for the launch tomorrow.

On the eve of the Santa Cruz eBike release, my local bike shop played a mean trick...

The release of the Levo SL, changes everything. Specialized seems to keep setting the bar and no one is catching up. A Santa Cruz with a E8000 and 504W battery is not going to do it.

Why? I have ridden pretty much all the major EMTB's out there and I still believe the overall package is the key - in reality the motors are much of a muchness and the geometry, integration of the weight of the ebike systems into the bike, and how it rides is far more important than anything else.

I have been running two E8000 bikes for the last couple of years, and I have yet to ride another bike which makes me think I need to upgrade, all the motors have good and bad points.

Battery range is subjective, its always nice to have bigger range, but the reality is that for me at least 500wh does the job and only a couple of times have I ever wanted more, but then I never use turbo and ride mostly in Eco and Trail.

I wouldn't write off this bike just because of the motor.

And as an FYI I am pretty sceptical about the bike from the info leaked, but given SC's history of great bikes I am willing to wait and see

Sounds like buying a YT decoy for $5000 less & a few pounds heavier, will be the logical choice if this is all true.

Or buying a Vitus E-Sommett for even less than that.
I wish we had some of those cheaper good e bikes you Europeans have access to. These companies are exporting their analog bikes, but not e bikes to the US. I need to get my wife another bike, it would be nice to only spend 3k instead of 4-5k for her
