I have a carbon 2023 Orbea Wild and the steel E13 chainring that it comes with is fine in the dry but suffers from horrendous chainsuck in wet, gritty conditions (Surrey), I'm running it with 11 speed Linkglide so an LG500 chain. I bought an XX1 chainring but due to the way the chainguide fits...

Dropping and replacing the motor is easier than any other bike I've had, tolerances on my carbon are really good, slides in and out easily. I'll have one go at fishing cables through with a rockshox barb first but as soon as anything snags I just whip the motor out

@vadII - mate's bike needs to go back for warranty on the motor. Can I just change everything back to default settings on Stunlocker and then connect to Etube and let it update everything to the latest firmware without a flag being set or similar?

Keep hearing that about the Rock guards so whilst the RG looks very tidy, the Rockstop still seems a better option to me

Same, best option I've seen so far. And it's easily removed for cleaning

Which chainring, a different E13 one?

I have been on my local trails as they aren't rocky but have dropped chains before on similar set ups on fast rocky trails with no top guide

Another great ride on Sunday on the steep and loose trails round here, loving the Wild. Had the chainring lockring undo though. I had heard reports of them being loose from the factory but (foolishly) hadn’t checked mine as was just about to change it. Was stamping on the pedals when it came off...

See my post above about getting a rotor magnet and getting a dealer to change the software to run a mullet setup. Then you can get a Volspeed chip

No offence but this isn't a thread about Volspeed, what you're running isn't even for rim magnet Bosch bikes

The Amygos one definitely looks the most protective but boy they are ugly, IMO. I went for the Rockstop

Seen a post on Orbea group in FB listing the parts for conversion to a rotor magnet, orbea are authorising Bosch dealers to change the software for a mullet setup. That and a standard Volspeed sounds like a cheaper and more reliable option

Not sounding great really, seems like a very expensive Beta product so far
