The 2024 Scott Strike eRIDE was the brand's alloy full-power trail eMTB, sitting in Scott's Mountain > Trail e-bike line. Every model ran the Bosch Performance Line CX Gen 4 motor (85Nm) with an integrated, removable Bosch PowerTube battery, a Virtual 4 link (VLK) suspension layout and knobby Maxxis Rekon 29x2.6in tyres on 30mm Syncros rims. The frame takes a flip-chip and is compatible with 29in or mixed 27.5in wheels, with a published low and high bottom bracket setting.
The range stepped down from the 150mm-travel EVO models to the 140mm 930 and 940. The 910 EVO (around £4,999) paired a Fox 36 Rhythm fork and Fox Float EVOL eRIDE shock with a 750Wh battery, Shimano XT 12-speed and SRAM DB8 brakes. The 920 EVO (around £4,199) swapped to a RockShox 35 TK Air fork, X-Fusion NUDE eRIDE shock, SRAM NX/SX Eagle drivetrain and a 625Wh pack. The 930 (around £4,999 RRP) and 940 (around £3,299) used a 140mm Marzocchi Z2 Air fork; the 930 carried Shimano four-piston brakes on 203mm rotors and a 625Wh battery, while the budget 940 dropped to a 500Wh pack and SRAM DB8 brakes.
Geometry is moderate trail rather than long-and-slack: a 64.8 to 65.0 degree head angle (29in, low BB), 440mm chainstays-equivalent 465mm rear centre, reach from 421.8mm (S) to 488.3mm (XL) and wheelbases between 1215mm and 1290mm. A Syncros Duncan dropper post is fitted across the range, with TwinLoc 2 remote suspension control on the relevant trims.
This generation is now discontinued. Scott replaced it with the current Strike eRIDE platform (the EVO naming and Bosch Smart System integration carried forward), so the 2024 bikes are most likely to be found on clearance or used. British buyers should weigh the alloy weight (roughly 23 to 26kg depending on trim) and the smaller 500Wh battery on the entry 940 against the strong 750Wh range of the 910 EVO.
What the numbers mean on the trail
Computed from this bike's geometry, spec and build kit — reach, wheelbase, chainstay, head and seat angles, travel, motor, weight and the fork/tyre/brake spec — and worked out per size, because a fixed chainstay can make an S and an XL feel very different.
A fair bit of pop, but happiest on flowing trail rather than trials moves.
Rear-long with a planted front in L (FC:RC 1.71) — easy to weight the front and quick to turn, though it can feel light at the back at real speed.
Bosch Performance Line CX Gen 4 and a steep 74.8° seat angle keep the weight planted over the front — a proper winch. 600W of peak power and 85Nm of torque — a strong full-power motor.
Strong up and composed down — a do-it-all, not a specialist.
