Carbon Bosch CX-R full-power eMTB, 170/162mm travel, DW-Link

The Pivot Shuttle LT 2026 is a carbon dw-link enduro eMTB built around the latest Bosch Performance Line CX Gen 5 motor and an 800 Wh PowerTube battery. Headline numbers: 170 mm of fork travel, 162 mm at the rear, 23.4 kg claimed for the Pro trim, 120 Nm of peak Bosch torque, a 63.2 to 64.1 degree adjustable head angle and reach progressing from 420 mm on XS to 494 mm on XL with two-position geometry. The community framing has been mixed: long-term Pivot fans love the brand's chassis quality, but @bmwpowere36m3 flags SI linkage added maintenance complexity, and @ramoes notes some riders specifically avoided prior-Gen 4 Bosch Pivots in favour of Gen 5 alternatives.
Drive system and range. The Bosch Performance Line CX Gen 5 brings 120 Nm of peak torque, 250 W nominal and a 750 W manufacturer-claimed peak from a 2.8 kg unit. @Plummet compares Gen 5 directly with Gen 3 and Gen 4 Bosch on the Pivot platform, calling Gen 5 "more powerful with better steep climbing performance". The 800 Wh PowerTube on the Pro and Team trims (750 Wh on the Ride) is removable. @Plummet's 3-hour ride on a 600 Wh Bosch system returned 21 per cent left at the end, suggesting genuine 4-hour ride time at 800 Wh is achievable.
Geometry and handling. Two-position geometry: the "Low" setting gives a properly slack 63.2 degree head angle, while "High" sits at 64.1 degrees. Reach progression is clean: 420 mm on XS, 434 to 436 mm on SM, 459 to 461 mm on MD, 474 to 476 mm on LG and 494 to 496 mm on XL depending on configuration. The 443 to 444 mm chainstay is among the shortest in the 162 mm-travel enduro class, supported by Pivot's 8 mm Swinger rear-centre adjust. Wheelbases run 1189 to 1305 mm. With a mullet wheel setup (29 inch front, 27.5 inch rear) standard and an adjustable 76.5/78 degree seat-tube angle, this is one of the most configurable enduro chassis in the mainstream.
Build and value. Four trims. Pro at £9399, 23.4 kg, with Fox 38 Factory GRIP X2 with Kashima fork, Float X Factory or DHX Live Valve Neo air shock, SRAM Maven Ultimate four-piston brakes and the DT Swiss hybrid mullet wheelset. Ride at £9499 stepping into Fox Performance suspension. Ride SLX/XT at £10250 with Shimano four-piston and the SLX/XT mixed transmission. Team at £14499 sits at the top of the line. Value pick is the Pro: it has the best suspension kit at the lowest price in the family.
Community-verified strengths. Three things owners praise. Long-term reliability of the prior generation is documented: @Gavalar reports a Pivot Shuttle LT with EP801 running 800 miles over 11 months with no issues. The CX Gen 5 chassis pairing is widely welcomed: @Plummet rates Gen 5 ahead of the prior generations on the same chassis. And the adjustable 78/76.5 degree seat angle and 8 mm chainstay adjust make this one of the most fit-tunable enduro frames in the segment.
Caveats and known gripes. Three honest flags. @bmwpowere36m3 notes the Shuttle LT's SI linkage adds maintenance complexity and is harder to service than the simpler dw-link. @MarkE192 reports significant motor rattle on descending on a prior Shuttle LT EP8 build that contributed to switching brands; the move to CX Gen 5 should reduce this concern but the prior chassis is the reference for residual concerns. And @saione compares the prior Pivot Shuttle LT 2024 directly against the Yeti 160e and finds the Yeti's suspension "significantly better". Pivot has clearly responded with the 2026 chassis refresh but cross-brand-loyal buyers may want to demo both.
Verdict. The Pivot Shuttle LT 2026 is for the rider who wants a properly tuned carbon enduro chassis with the latest Bosch Gen 5 motor, an 800 Wh PowerTube and the most fit-adjustable geometry in the segment. If you want a simpler linkage or the broadest dealer network, look at a Cannondale Moterra LT or Specialized Levo. Production status is current.
