Slack 64° head angle, 160mm travel and a long 1282mm wheelbase — composed in the chunk, confident when it gets steep, and stable through fast corners.

Refined DW-link carbon enduro with a long 170mm front

The 2022 Pivot Shuttle LT was Pivot's long-travel full-power enduro eMTB, launched in July 2022 under the tagline 'a bird with bigger wings' and built on the geometry and dw-link kinematics of the EWS-proven Firebird 29. The full-carbon chassis carries 160mm of dw-link rear travel and a 170mm Fox 38 fork with a custom eMTB tune, paired with a trunnion-mounted Fox Float X shock. A flip chip switches between a High BB setting (64.5 degree head angle) and a Low BB setting that drops the bottom bracket and slackens the head angle to 64.0 degrees.
Power comes from a Shimano EP8 (DU-EP800) drive unit delivering 85Nm of torque, fed by an integrated, removable 756Wh battery with a USB-C charging port. Pivot billed it as having the biggest battery and most powerful motor in its e-bike range at the time. All four sizes clear a full-size water bottle inside the front triangle and run high-grip Maxxis Assegai EXO+ 3C tyres on both wheels, with 223mm front and 203mm rear rotors.
Two builds were offered. The Ride SLX/XT (9,899 USD / 9,999 EUR) mixes a Fox Performance 38, Fox Performance Float X, Shimano SLX/XT 12-speed and DT Swiss H1900 wheels. The range-topping Team XTR (11,999 USD / 11,999 EUR) steps up to a Fox Factory 38 GRIP2, full Shimano XTR M9100, an XT M8150 E-MTB crank, DT Swiss HX1501 wheels and a carbon Phoenix Team cockpit. No UK GBP RRP was published for the 2022 model at launch.
This model is discontinued. It was carried into 2023 largely unchanged before Pivot later relaunched the Shuttle LT on a Bosch drive system, so this Shimano EP8 carbon Shuttle LT is now a first-generation, outgoing bike.
What the numbers mean on the trail
Computed from this bike's geometry, spec and build kit — reach, wheelbase, chainstay, head and seat angles, travel, motor, weight and the fork/tyre/brake spec — and worked out per size, because a fixed chainstay can make an S and an XL feel very different.
A fair bit of pop, but happiest on flowing trail rather than trials moves.
Front-long in L: 841mm front centre on 441mm stays (FC:RC 1.91). Planted and composed; rewards a forward, attacking stance.
Climbs well — a 77° seat keeps the front planted. 500W of peak power and 85Nm of torque — a strong full-power motor.
Rewards commitment; it should feel calmer as the speed rises.
A 841mm front centre on 441mm stays means taller riders must actively weight the front to keep it gripping. The chainstay stays 441mm on every size, so L feels more front-long than the smaller sizes.
