A solid all-round descender (67° head angle, 120mm) — capable in the rough and steep without being an all-out bruiser.
Stance E+ 2022
How current the bike is — newer chassis, motor and battery score higher. 10 = brand-new, 0 = legacy.

The 2022 Stance E+ is Giant's entry-level full-suspension trail eMTB, built around an ALUXX SL aluminium frame with a single-pivot FlexPoint (flexstay) rear end giving 120mm of travel and a 130mm fork on 29in wheels. It uses Giant's own Yamaha-based SyncDrive Sport motor (70Nm) with 360% tunable support, paired with a removable down-tube EnergyPak and the RideControl display.
Two trims share the same frame, geometry and motor, differing mainly in fork, drivetrain, battery and dropper. The Stance E+ 1 gets a 625Wh battery, a RockShox Recon Silver RL fork, a RockShox Monarch RT shock, a Shimano Deore 12-speed drivetrain (10-51T) and a Giant Contact Switch dropper. The cheaper Stance E+ 2 runs a 500Wh battery, an SR Suntour XCR 34 fork and Edge RC shock, a Shimano Deore 10-speed drivetrain (11-46T) and a rigid seatpost. Both roll on tubeless-ready Giant AM 30mm rims with light EXO-casing Maxxis Rekon 2.4in tyres.
The 2022 geometry is conservative and climbing-focused: a steep 67.0 degree head angle, a 73.5 degree seat angle and long 475mm chainstays, with reach figures from 404mm (S) to 465mm (XL). This is markedly more upright than the slacker 65.5 degree geometry Giant introduced on the later Stance E+, so it favours steady trail riding and climbing over aggressive descending. This is a discontinued 2022 model year; manufacturer pricing was 4,499 euro for the E+ 1 and 3,899 euro for the E+ 2. No published owner ride data is tied specifically to this model year in this dossier, so handling notes above are derived from the geometry and spec rather than test riding.
What the numbers mean on the trail
Computed from this bike's geometry, spec and build kit — reach, wheelbase, chainstay, head and seat angles, travel, motor, weight and the fork/tyre/brake spec — and worked out per size, because a fixed chainstay can make an S and an XL feel very different.
A fair bit of pop, but happiest on flowing trail rather than trials moves.
Rear-long with a planted front in L (FC:RC 1.55) — easy to weight the front and quick to turn, though it can feel light at the back at real speed.
Climbs well — a 73.5° seat keeps the front planted. 250W of peak power and 70Nm of torque.
No single standout trait — a balanced, versatile bike.
The numbers are well balanced for its category.
