G Cross Country 2024
How current the bike is — newer chassis, motor and battery score higher. 10 = brand-new, 0 = legacy.

The GasGas G Cross Country is the brand's entry-level e-hardtail range, sitting below its full-suspension trail and enduro models. It is built around a 6061 alloy frame and a Yamaha mid-drive motor, pitched squarely at newer riders building off-road skills rather than aggressive trail use.
The range splits cleanly. The 1.0 (£1,599) is the small-rider option: 27.5in wheels, a 100mm SR Suntour coil fork, an external 400Wh Yamaha battery and the gentler 50Nm Yamaha PW-CE motor with a basic 8-speed Tektro drivetrain. The 2.0 (£2,699) steps up to 29in wheels, a 120mm coil fork, an integrated 630Wh Simplo battery and the 70Nm PW-ST motor, still on a 9-speed Tektro groupset. The 3.0 (also £2,699) keeps the 29in wheels and 630Wh battery but adds the punchier 85Nm Yamaha PW-X3 motor, an air-sprung RockShox 35 Silver TK fork, SRAM Level T hydraulic brakes and a 12-speed SRAM SX Eagle drivetrain. At the same price, the 3.0 is the stronger value for anyone wanting the most capable build, while the 2.0 trades the better fork and motor for an extra XL size.
Geometry is conservative and confidence-focused rather than aggressive. The 29in 2.0 and 3.0 share a 67 degree head angle, 74 degree seat angle, 475mm chainstays and modest reach figures (440mm M, 450mm L, with the 2.0 adding a 460mm XL). The 27.5in 1.0 is steeper at 69 degrees with shorter 465mm stays and lower stack, reflecting its smaller-rider, beginner brief.
