Okay, I saw YT bikes showing up on Jenson USA, I couldn't however find parts. I called Jenson on Friday, and talked to a rep for 20 minutes, he was great and was very informative. He said they have bought everything from YT USA. He said, they have started putting just complete bikes up for sale, no warranties of course. I asked, what about all the spare parts and other stuff. He said that is more complicated due to the amount of inventory, how to price it all, and how they will put it on the site. Really having to figure out if they should put it out by individual parts throughout the site or put it under YT parts. I think they are a little freaked out over the volume of stuff they bought in one shot. He also said, they might only sell some of it, and may sell the rest to the highest bidder. He said if they go that route, they will put a link on their site to whoever buys it all, thankfully!!! He ended it with, hang tight on parts, it's going to be a month or two to figure out pricing and everything else, and just keep checking the site. I said you must realize there are a lot of us freaking out right now. He said, I know, I know. So thank you Jenson, for coming to our rescue....

I would have to imagine the majority of "spare" parts are universal (shocks, drivetrain parts, cockpit, etc). The only thing that would be YT specific would be frames or frame parts which I wouldn't think there would be a lot of?

True, I've been buying parts from YT since 2020, and they often were out of stock, and I had to wait months some times.

My main concern is bike specific parts like pivot axles, bearings, bushings.
Things like that. I have two decoys, a two thousand nineteen and a two thousand twenty four, and I was able to buy a replacement battery a week before they went out of business. Also, the batteries are supposed to last a 1000 cycles, which is from completely dead to recharging to completely full.
And with the amount of riding I do per year that will be about 12 years of riding before my battery goes dead, but I still wanted a replacement battery. Frame parts I will try and get when they become available.

Definitely stock linkages, pivot axles, pivot and linkage hardware, and stuff like that. Bearings you will be able to get aftermarket.

Interesting. If they had capitalized on the "freak out" time, they could have put high demand parts (batteries, chargers, pivots, 801 cable harness) up and made $0.70 on the dollar. Maybe even more. Would I have jump on a $120 charger 3 weeks ago??? fuckYeah!!! it was only $90 at the Mill, but still

Thanks for this. I was wondering what happened to YT. Actually, I purchased a 2025 Decoy SN 170 from Jenson yesterday after seeing the brand show up.
You got a deal......
Fazua and related components can be dealt with through them. Decoy MX/29 have to deal with a proprietary battery/cable and charger.
A lot of the hardware can be made by a good machine shop. You just have to have a good sample and be ok with paying $75 for one pivot bolt

Yeah, well if you haven't heard yet, YT owner was able to buy back YT. He has already put stuff for sale in the EU & UK. They said it will be awhile to reestablish sales for the US and the rest of the world. So that being said, that makes the Jenson deal so much better for them, for saying the bikes they have for sale. People won't be so reluctant to buy one now. Plus the prices are so good on them.

YT also said they will warranty the Jenson bikes but you will first need to contact Jenson if you have an issue and they should then contact YT.

Jenson said No warranty so they aren't going to do anything, I would take what YT said with a grain of salt at this point.

.
I assume Jenson said no warranty before it was announced that YT was back in business, which would have made sense.

Now that that YT is operational again I can't see any reason why they wouldn't facilitate the warranty process between the customer and YT.

The main reason that the ‘new’ YT wouldn’t warranty a bike sold as bankrupt stock from a retailer is that the ‘new’ YT didn’t sell it to them.

So, whilst it’s good news that there is a phoenix YT that may be able to sell you some spare parts at some point, I don’t think they have any cast iron responsibility to support a product sold by ‘old’ YT through a retailer that purchased stock after they went bust.

The new/old owner of YT is saying some good things at the moment, but talk is cheap at the end of the day, so I’d still be ‘buyer beware’. There’s a reason the Jenson bikes are cheap…

Marcus (the owner) specifically responded to a question on Insrtagram about YT warrantying the Jenson bikes and he said they would but rather than contact YT directly the owner should go through Jenson. At the end of the day it's a YT product whether it was sold through the EU or US entity it's in YT's best interest to support and it sounds like they know this.

He also said going forward YT would no longer be DTC only but will be working with dealers also.

Yes, which as I said sounds like good news, and any buyers contract is with Jenson at the end of the day so correct people should contact them in the first instance. If Jenson sold the bikes without any warranty though…

But, as I also said, saying something on Instagram isn’t the same as actually providing warranty support. People should just know what they’re getting into is all I’m saying.

It was enough to get me. The wife loves her Decoy so much I picked up a Capra for park days for her. We did over 20 park days last year and plan to do more next year so it made sense. My main concern was spare parts which should be available now.

Awesome! I already purchase most things from Jenson USA, and now I am looking forward to seeing what they have for my Decoy. Anyone that has a Decoy knows this is a robust machine. My 2024 Decoy has about 1300 fairly hard miles. I'm on my 3rd drive train, those parts are fairly universal, but the battery is starting to show signs of wear. Anyway, I am so glad that someone has stepped up here, and I am thrilled that it is an outfit that I already patronize!
