It’s been raining here in southern California (I know, hard to believe!) and most local trails are closed due to muddy conditions. Mrs levity and I headed to Anza Borrego Desert State Park in search of dryer ground. Rain is a good thing in the dez, turning what can be impassable sand into “hero dirt”.
The air was dry, temps were mild (60-70°F range), and the skies were sunny.

Rocky areas drain quickly and were dry of course -
and most washes and canyons provided fun riding -
However, a rock and mudslide in one canyon had formed a small lake forcing us to portage thru water and some quicksand-like mud to get by -
