Whyte Kado Geometry

Can anyone that has a Kado offer some advice? especially someone that has changed from the e-160.
I’m looking to get the new Kado rsx and at 5’5 1/2 I’m in between sizes. My e-160 is medium and does feel big, I changed it to mx which works for my short legs, it has brilliant handling down hill but a handful for general riding.
On the geo chart the M kado sizes up slightly bigger to the 160 in some areas, I don’t know if it seems it in reality.
No one has a small in stock to try so prob have to go mail order. I’m looking for any opinions on how the sizing feels from someone that has one.
I can’t afford to go any bigger in size from the 160 but worry the small may seem tiny. Thanks.

I can't help on the smaller sizes but I'm 6'2'' and have a Kado RSX in size XL and upgraded from an e-180 in the same size. I haven't noticed any difference at all in the size between the two bikes. Might be the same in reality in the small sizes.

If there is no bike to try I would compare stand over height and the distance from seat tube ( dropper at half height) to middle of the stem. Those measurements are likely to be more useful than reach if you spend a lot of time on rides in the saddle. Reach only really gives an indication of size fit when standing on the pedals.
When faced with the choice of going smaller or larger when you are between sizes, if most of your riding is up on the pedals riding fast on twisty single track or gravity runs with jumps and drops etc......go smaller. If on the other hand most of your riding is seated on fairly mellow trails/cross country, go bigger.

I’m 6 foot and have a large kado Rsx. I think it feels a little small for a large, I’ve previously had e160s, e160rs, E160rsx, all large and have never found any of them to feel small.
A friend has the e180rsx in large and a large Kado rsx, he thinks the Kado feels small too but not his 180.
It’s nothing major and you get used to it but hope it helps.
We both put longer stems on but found it made the bikes bit twitchy so have gone back to stock.

If you buy online I think you have 14 days to return it if it feels the wrong size?

People always talk about reach when sizing bikes. It’s useful but effective top tube is also very important because you are sat down more than standing. For some reasons Whyte don’t show the ETT of their bikes on their geo charts which isn’t very helpful

Reigniting this with a fresh question:
I have an E160S in XL but I've shrunk (getting old 🫪) and down to under 6'1" (184cm)...... Anyone at a similar height got a Kado in L? How does it feel?
