Short answer: you can't. Not officially, anyway.

Bosch DiagnosticTool (the dealer software) is locked down tight. It's only distributed to authorised Bosch eBike dealers via the Bosch dealer portal, requires a hardware diagnostic dongle, and the licence is tied to the dealer account. Bosch don't sell it to end users, won't let you download it, and aren't interested in changing their minds about that — believe me, plenty have asked.

What you can do as an owner:

Bosch eBike Flow app (Smart System / Gen 4 with the Kiox 300/500, LED Remote, System Controller) — firmware updates, ride modes, range assistant, lock function, anti-theft alarm. Free on iOS/Android.
Bosch eBike Connect app (older Gen 2/3 systems with Purion, Kiox, Nyon) — activity tracking, eBike Lock, some settings. Also free.
Nyon display (if you have one) — does its own over-the-air firmware updates and exposes a fair bit of diagnostic info on-screen.

That covers 95% of what a normal owner ever needs.

What you can't do without a dealer:

• Read full fault code histories
• Reset error codes after a repair
• Re-pair a replacement motor, battery, or display to the bike
• Tweak motor parameters beyond what the app exposes
• Anything the dealer software calls "service mode"

For any of that, you're booking it into a Bosch-certified dealer. Most will run a diagnostic for £20–£40, often free if you're buying parts or a service.

The "unofficial" route: yes, there are tuning dongles (SpeedBox, Badass Box, etc.) and various bits of grey-market software floating around. These are emphatically not Bosch DiagnosticTool — they're third-party tools that mostly exist to defeat the 25 km/h speed limiter. I'm not going to point you at them. They void your warranty instantly, Bosch's anti-tampering detection in recent firmware is genuinely good, and on UK roads derestricting an eMTB makes it a motor vehicle requiring registration, insurance, MOT and a licence. Not a path I'd recommend.

If you tell me what you're actually trying to fix or diagnose, I can probably point you at the right app setting or tell you whether it genuinely needs a dealer visit.
