Google is the search engine not the actual browser!
I'm using Google with Edge and that works!
Not only that but I have fixed the problem in Firefox. It now puts a wavy red line under spelling mistakes here too.
For anyone else with this Firefox problem:-In Firefox Settings/General click on the box highlighted in red in the attached screenshot and select the same language and version as shown for menus etc(highlighted in green), add if necessary and remove any others. Misspellled words (like that one) should now be identified with red wavy underline.
