I see the little decal on my Shock, but what’s the difference? Hype? I know the fork is beefed, but what about the shock. You can’t purchase this anywhere that I found.

I expect the damping is more aligned for a heavier bike. Chamber volume is also probably different.

According to Fox (website): E-Bike specific fork (GRIP2 and GRIP) and shock (OE only) damper tuning accounts for dynamic weight transfer, seated riding technique, steeper climbing, and faster uphill speeds. E-Bike-specific forks and shocks (OE only) are branded with an E-Logo decal, denoting specific E-Bike fork chassis and optimized tuning for E-Bike applications.

So sounds like its just a damper tuned specific to the application …

The damper has a unique tune due to the weight of the sticker on the shock. It’s 0.34 grams heavier with the sticker.

If a standard shock is rated for say a 300lb rider (max), an ebike specific shock may be rated for a 320lb rider. Otherwise same crap.
On a fork however, the steerer tube has two stepped shoulders that prevent full rotation so steering is limited like a dual crown or Treks knock block to prevent tearing your electrical lines off during a crash.

Just like all Motocross manufacturers have custom valving on their suspension for each model, set by test riders. I know these are no where as complex as the mx bikes but YT test riders set the base specs for the fork and shock on these bikes.
