What did you buy your ebike this week?

I have these by the same manufacturer under a different brand.
Have had a couple of pairs and passed them onto my boys and they also love them.
My ones also have an optical insert, which is awesome for me, as I get chronic eye fatigue if I don't wear my glasses for too long and I don't want to wear my $1800 glasses while mountainbiking.
Have you ordered optical inserts from an optician or how was it done? And do you get both near and far vision?

So from my haul, I've saved big!
Helmet £110 - £20
Fox Transfer £350. - £50
TRP 220 2.3mm Rotors £30 each -£10
TRP cassette £350 -£50
Peatys Grips £25 (RRP) X3 £75 - £50
Tubeless valves£12.99 - £20 2 pairs.
Roughly £900, and I spent £200 with £50 back for grips. (as bought for mates)
A good haul there, I had a disaster there bought some industry nine wheels from wheelbase stand also bought 2 tyres and stuck them in the box aswell!! Got them to keep them there while I looked around went back to pick them up, they couldn't find them so either got resold or stolen!! Had my name all over the box aswell!! Absolutely devastated!!

I got my inserts from the Kapvoe website: Kapvoe Prescription inserts
They have a couple of different variants, that are an approximation of my prescription, but I had to choose distance vision, not near-vision.
Couldn't get an insert for my full prescription as the inserts are too shallow.

I had to order a new set of mounting bolts for my Shimano RS motor on my Orbea Rise. When tightening the to 12nm one of the heads came clean off, unfortunately you need to buy a full mounting set

That's a nightmare!!!

That’s absolutely disgraceful mate, don’t think I’d have been unable to control my anger issues there to say the least 😡

Major anger issue's!!! I'll ever get a pair for 250 again the full enduro ebike with hydra hubs😔😔
I’m not surprised mate, I know it’s not the point but would you buy Hope hubs instead, in my honest opinion I’ve had no issues with mine and I’m not exactly lightweight 👍😉

Did they not offer a refund??
Yeah they gave me a refund and the guy was more than apologetic for them which I don't suppose I can complain about, the fact that I had a pair of them wheels at that price paid for held them touched them and they dissappear when I went to collect them that hurts me more🙁

Got the hope pro 5s with fortus rims but wanted a spare set to swap in and out depending on conditions as to save swapping tyres

Not for the bike, but for Mrs and me when on our bikes when it gets silly wet.

Five Ten Trailcross Gore-Tex (boots), £80 a pair of size 7 for the Mrs and 10.5 for me.

Half price from the official Adidas UK site, must be trying to shift stock.

I picked up a Freerider Pro Mid VCS for half the price of regular Freerider Pros. I live in the desert so I actually prefer how they don’t have GoreTex, just mid height with 3DO protection on the inner ankle.

Do yours run small? I fancy a pair but I've found it pays to buy half a size larger with the summer shoes.
Think it depends on your feet.

My first purchase of Freerider Pro shoes bought half a size larger (11) and they were to big, so went down to my normal size (10.5) and they're spot on. Same with Mrs with size 7, always fits her perfectly. If they don't fit they'll be returned of course.

Spotted this on Instagram, it's exactly what internal routing should be like, not how it is with the cables going through the bearings.

For my new Vala I needed a new front light and a new water bottle because the old one didn't fit into the size M frame.

Lupine SL Mono, battery powered front light with quick release mount for the 35mm bar and some cables.

Fidlock 750 ml bottle with base. The black one looks nice on the midnight green frame.

For comparison my old 750 ml bottle from Tune. I have an expensive carbon side loader cage from Tune but it was impossible to get that bottle into the holder when mounted to the Vala. Next to it the 550 ml spare bottle my wife lent me. As you can see it's nearly as tall as the large Fidlock and would only go into the holder by lightly scraping along the frame.

Some replacement pieces of invisaframe. Took a massive chunk out of the down tube and lower fork leg. Lucky no damage.

A keen-eyed member spotted the horrible condition of the treads on my used rear Maxxis tire.

Today I installed a new one (for upcoming winter rides).

Maxxis Assigia 2.6” mounted on a 35mm wide alloy rim. I no longer want/need the CushCore Plus because it’s a “pitch-me-over-da-fence” to install …but now I’ll probably need it. 🥺
