What did you buy your ebike this week?

Got one of these to allow me to fit my expensive Miche carbon wheels as they're center lock.

Required a bit of filing to remove the shimano splines from the center so I could fit it..it's specialized specific..if you have shimano hubs 🙃 need to remove the filings on the magnet after seeing photo😊
Miche wheels are standard centre lock 😊

Will do..I never really take any notice of details like this as life's too short to soend time picking at stickerswith amazeballs super glue on them🙃

just bought ridewrap, Pinnd 145mm cranks and some Oak brake levers for my newly ordered Norco Range VLT C1 (gen3 / 2023 model with Shimano Ep8 motor)

Yesterday ordered said Norco from Tredz - today had notification that it's built and should be delivered tuesday😎

Bought and Installed new levers on my EMTB. Those Shimano SLX and XT levers are so piss weak. These are CNC levers with some flex designed into them.

AUD$100 delivered from America, from a company called Tarazon. They specialise in CNC motor cycle bits.

Great choice of wheel! I am a serial rim destroyer (I killed 6 wheels last year 🙈) and the FR541 is the only one that can stand up to my abuse. I did manage to put a hairline crack in one but the gap I pulled for was so stupid I can’t blame the rim at all.
 
I got one of those laser alignment things as well, mine appears to project a straight line but the handlebar clips don’t fit either side of my stem.

Yeah, maybe my stem is wider than average (fnaar), but I’ve still chalked it up as a solution looking for a problem and something I didn’t really need in my life.

But, freakin lazer beams man! 😂

Well I live in Norway where everything is more expensive than other countries full price $28 and I got 25% discount since I'm a member of their "club" so I doubt it is for any help to you.
I guess most webshops has this type of membership clubs so they can trick you into buy more than you really needs but this time I needed new pads.

Have you ridden with the portal yet? I have the overhang and trying to decide if it’s worth the upgrade. Getting the lights over to the UK is a bit of a pain.
 
Ref the radial tyres:
They make a point that the new tyres have a bigger contact patch for the same tyre pressure.

But the area of contact patch x psi for each tyre adds up to the weight of the bike (or bike + rider if measured with the rider sat on it). So how can the same bike and rider with the same psi in each tyre have a larger contact patch?

Obviously, the tread pattern and the softness or otherwise of the ground it's sat on will make a large difference to the contact patch. If the tread pattern was the same and the ground was flat and hard, then I still don't see how you would get a larger contact patch radial vs normal. Even if the radial tyre wall was more compliant, the weight of the bike + rider would be shared over two tyres, each one pressing every square inch in contact with the ground at 20 pounds per square inch (for example).

If the radial tyre wall was more compliant (so they say), then the bike would feel as though it was on softer tyres. In response I would increase the tyre pressure to reduce the contact patch to one that felt right. Maybe that is all they mean. You can ride with a higher tyre pressure to get the same ride feel?
