Anyone ordered from R2-Bike? Experiences positive or negative welcome.
I ordered there a couple of times more than a year ago, everything was always OK.
It can be a coincidence, but every time I looked there the last months, the part was unavailable or a lot more expensive compared to bikediscount and bikecomponents.

First purchase for the new bike... Pedals!

Protect EMTB motor guard, SRAM 220mm HS2 rotor, Discobrakes semi-metallic pads, Magura QM45 180 to 220 adapter, Sensus Lite grips (black on black, shipped from Californica just happened to arrive today).

Also, Mrs said she didn't need a motor guard but looking at her motor cover (Bosch CX) figured she needed one 'cos would hopefully some time in the future avoid me having to take her bike for a motor repair, so bought one for her fitted it and said nothing.

Edit 30-07-22: didn't like the Discobrakes pads so after cleaning the rotor put Shimano D03s pads back in, much quieter with a nicer bite point.

This week has seen delivery of new front 203 rotor, protect motor guard (not sure on it yet) eddy current 2.6 front tyre, uberbike magura pads, new tubeless valves, muc-off sponge, and new lyric fork decals.

I definitely had a busy postman this week.

Swapped out the old NX cassette and chain after almost 3.900 km for GX (including new XD freehub). My plan had been to go for a X01 chain but that one wasn't available with the dealer. Next time then.
Dealer also replaced the SL motor due to some whining noise – good for me, since it's still under warranty. (y)

New bike day less than a week ago but already I brought gusset s2 stem and bar combo along with dmr v11 pedals and new dmr deathgrips along with a dyedbro clear wrap and finally a rear mudguard that specificity made for my levo gen3 from Sicomtbproductscom. Front forks next but that can wait for a little while as yet

Dmr v11 pedals are excellent, always ridden resin pedals and these are the best on the market as far as I am concerned, excellent grip, change bearing as and when they get worn and a good surface area unlike others.

This 1UP aluminum rear hitch bike carrier came yesterday. I saw it mentioned in a bike rack thread here. This rack is a dream! $399 for their silver aluminum 1 bike model. They have two bike models and I can also add on to the 1 bike model. Comes in painted black for $30 more, but I read that one fades to purple or bronze. This rack is so innovative and of a great solid build. It folds real small and can be put in the trunk or the great heavy box it came in. Securly locks to the car with a few turns of the supplied Allen wrench. My ride is a Powerfly FS Equipped, so it has fenders and it still fits great without touching the fenders. Weighs only around 29 lbs. The older Thule 4 bike rack I have been using is not recommended by Thule for a 50 lb E-bike (without battery).
Best feature to me is not only is it simple to mount the bike . . . the bike does not touch the car or the rack does not touch the finish of the bike.
The bike shop wanted to sell me the Thule $800 bike rack and it was a very expensive and heavy rack anyway. Now I can also sell my Thule on Facebook Marketplace to bring down the cost of the 1UP (It's actually the SportRack brand). If I have another rider with me we can put their bike in the trunk and mine on the 1UP.

Bought a set of brake levers off AliExpress, wanted levers rather than complete brakes. Connected to my MT5 calipers
Wanted silver to match my stem & pedals, they are lovely, well machined & better than shitmano levers inc Saints & even though love my Magura levers as using aftermarket levers (Loic Bruni) the new levers just work & more robust than Magura

Yeah was tempted however the levers work so well with the MT5 calipers both using mineral oil, just cut cables & put on new Magura olive & attached to new levers no bleeding required the 4 pot calipers are tempting over 2 pot

With my old Endura knee pads a bit ragged I decided that I’d buy myself some more but better ones given my track record for coming off 🤪 they’re so comfortable, in fact it hardly feels like I’ve got them on, hopefully I’ll not be busy this weekend so I can get out in the Peak District 🤞

Definitely mate, I’m of the prevention is better than the cure school of thought, I’m just an accident prone muppets 🤣
I'm of the "as long as you got a brolly with you it won't rain" school of thought - worked so far 😁👍
