If it gets stolen, the AirTag will give audible alerts, so the thief will know its in the bike, and will take out. (Maybe destructively)
If that thief owns a iPhone he/she will get notification anyway. That comes first. Not the audible alert.
That's the way how it works my AirTags anyway.

And those alerts don't come right away. And AirTag which is in my bike is very difficult to find. ;)

Interested to see how you get on with that.

I want to try some routes I don't know from Strava and just about to pull the plug on a Wahoo Bolt V2 and have been putting off using my mobile.
I have only been testing how robust it is on the trails and so far no movement. The only pain is taking on and off the case every time, although you could leave that case on. The cover is a pain as you can’t use the screen with it on and I want to zoom in and out to see trails near me.

New shock :)
(thanks @borntoridemtb)

Are you or the bike shop taking out the AirTag speaker before installation?

no I’m going to do that, I watched a YouTube video and the guy showed a way to open the back without destroying the lock tabs so it can be put back together and retain the waterproofness of it, I’ve still got that to do so thanks for the reminder 👍

Got a schwalbe big Betty tyre for the rear (and a case of COVID from a recent ski trip)

I've been using maxxis dhr ii for a few years so I thought I'd try something else for a change.

They're pretty good, relatively good rolling speed, decent braking grip and seem pretty tough.

Think I prefer them to the dhr ii.

What are you using on the front?

A schwalbe magic Mary currently, a decent tyre , but I think I prefer the maxxis shorty overall for the front in winter. There's not much in it but the shorty seems a bit grippier in mud.

I’m on a Shorty MaxxGrip coming from a Assegai MaxxGrip, and I’m almost shocked at home much better it is in winter conditions, especially in the wet rooty and rocky stuff where I ride.

Very happy with the newest Shorty

2 X 6903rs bearings for the main pivot on my orbea wild FS.

They were proper seized up.

Pushed the boat out. Had a one ride gap between losing the enduro front mudguard and getting the mudhugger Evo on ( waiting for decals ) Having got a face full of mud flicked up, so glad I did push the boat out 😁👍

Camelbak MULE 9L capacity + 3L bladder in the Camelbak sale. £110 down to £66. :) (Inludes bladder)

Camelbak.jpg

It arrived early, and I have just transferred the contents from my old Camelbak MULE that is 10-12 years old. The old one has been rubbed against walls and trees, torn in half when snagged on a fallen tree I was riding underneath. It took me some careful stitching to restore it to life! Half the internal pockets have also been stitched up. The backpack serves as my crash protection and I thought it would never fail me. But half the pockets I cannot get to for repair and the bottoms have worn out. In addition, the shoulder straps where they attach to the D rings are worn down from about 30mm wide to between 5 and 8 mm and are looking very frayed and fragile. It is time to retire it. I sure hope the new one serves as well. :)

The link. Sac d'hydratation M.U.L.E.® 12L avec poche à eau 3L

(I have no idea why the link is in French, it takes you to the UK website)

Also, don't bother watching the video on that page, it is for the 15L which is a different backpak. (why?)

Bought a new headset for my Rise. The Acros one was shot! & got my TTX a full service 👍🏼

Collection day approaches, can you guess what it is yet?
