Weird Gap on Bosch SX motor

I currently own a Devinci E-Troy and was chasing a creak, which I finally fixed by changing the mounting sleeves. What's odd is this gap . I'd noticed it before, so I decided to remove both mounting bolts, replace the sleeves, center the motor, and tighten everything to 30 Nm. The noise/creak is now gone, but this gap is still odd; the other side presses tightly against the frame." I wonder if this a Bosch SX issue since my bike is not a Santa Cruz and feedback would be great

I think I remember another one had the same observation as you. I think it was in the Cube section

Wow thank you !! This is exactly how mine looks and why would they design it like this or is this a Bosch SX thing

I must admit I dont know since dont have bike with a SX motor but it looks weird in my eyes. I hope you manage to find out why it is that way.

Someone posted Bosch said tolerances were too big and had a fix so bolts fit tighter, think it was a conical bushing

This is apparently a well-known problem affecting SX motors. I had the same issue on my Cube SX bike — the motor started moving quite a bit because of those gaps. Contact your dealer; they’ll fix the problem by installing a pair of new plastic spacers. That’s what happened with Cube, at least.

EDIT: sorry I had missed this! Possible recall on Bosch SX / CX
