I’m in the exact same situation, it’s just such a terrible name lol. This video made me hate it a little less, but I’d gladly pay extra to have the logo removed. The only thing that puts me off with that bike is the branding.
I don't like the name Teewing and hate the way it's plastered down the frame.
Cover that up and I'd be well onboard with these...
I'm the same with cars. Don't like the weird branding that some of the Chinese manufacturers come up with, but quite like the cars themselves. FWIW, I drive a Chinese EV, so it's nothng against where these are made.
Exactly, you couldn’t often get a mainstream motor on a DIY bike. And having built a DIY bike myself last year, it’s a big deal, Bafang, despite actually having good reliability and power, is a dumpster fire in terms of support and software quality. For me, the sticking point was not on the frames, but on the Bafang motor
Correct, it seems LightCarbon is the OEM of the frame. Not sure why they don’t have it on their website yet, probably to keep interest at bay. Seems like they’re already backed up with orders on it, with a few people here saying they wouldn’t be able to get a frame until March. I couldn’t even get a response to my inquiry. If I understand, JimLee who may be selling the same frame and may be the company that makes the frame named his version something like Turbo Force. Interestingly the design reminds me of the GT Turbo Force a lot. Here is a picture:

According to my contact at Teewing, LightCarbon is NOT the OEM of the frame. They use a larger manufacturer which produces frames for well-known EU brands.Correct, it seems LightCarbon is the OEM of the frame. Really? That’s interesting, what was the deal in the thread by Jim then? LightCarbon makes some frames for EU brands as well. Jim got suspiciously quiet in the other thread and edited his post removing some pics after Rob seemingly called out that it appeared to be the Teewing bike. The paint on the logo for the Teewing is also a pattern/effect I see on a bunch of the LC bikes. Wonder if Teewing got mad LC was offering the frame up direct as well or that it got leaked at all who OEM’s it.According to my contact at Teewing, LightCarbon is NOT the OEM of the frame. I don't know the details, I've suggested to Teewing that they make an account here so they can clear things up.Really? That’s interesting, what was the deal in the thread by Jim then? That would be great. Not that it matters in the grand scheme of things as long as it’s a quality manufacturer that makes the frame. If it’s not LC made, then I’d be interested to know what the heck the LC frame actually looks like. We had all been assuming this was it. Would be good for them to answer questions as well about availability and support in different regions of the world and if they plan to sell the frameset everywhere.I don't know the details, I've suggested to Teewing that they make an account here so they can clear things up.
Glad to have you guys on here! I think many of us would be interested in being able to buy the motor/battery/frame, not many e-bikes out there offer it today, especially DJI based. Do you have any distributors/retailers lined up in the US at all yet?Hi everyone! Andi suggested we make an account and get involved with this thread. We're currently making updates to our website and will be adding a complete list of authorized Teewing Bikes dealers and distributors, this should be added to the website soon and will allow you to purchase your Teewing Bike with complete peace of mind.
We've had a lot of requests about a frameset only option, and it's something we are considering, but don't currently offer. We will make updates to the website if this becomes an option.
To address the comments above, we do not have a cooperation with LightCarbon. They do not manufacture our frames.
We're really excited to be here and part of the EMTB Forums community. Please let us know if you have any questions or comments, and we hope to see you on the trails![]()
Whilst I understand this is a Trail-focused bike, can the Turbo Force accommodate a 38mm stanchioned fork and a coil rear shock, for a more "Trailduro" finish?Hi everyone! That’s exactly what I was hoping for as well. Definitely nothing preventing a 38mm fork from working, but the shock would be good to confirm.Whilst I understand this is a Trail-focused bike, can the Turbo Force accommodate a 38mm stanchioned fork and a coil rear shock, for a more "Trailduro" finish?
Yup, you could defo fit a 38 to this and build a more enduro spec bike, but I would assume Teewing is looking at the market and realises an Enduro version of this would be popular.Whilst I understand this is a Trail-focused bike, can the Turbo Force accommodate a 38mm stanchioned fork and a coil rear shock, for a more "Trailduro" finish?
I thought the same thing, someone on here was sharing a price they had already been quoted for it.Glad you guys are on here @Teewing Bikes
Pardon me if I misunderstood, but I thought some of your distributors are offering framesets already?
Cheers,
Ben

Well they literally told him they “use a larger manufacturer which produces frames for well-known EU brands” so what more do you want? Unless they already had a competency in building carbon fiber bike frames, it’s not the sort of thing you’d just hop into doing. Teewing themselves gave the info that another large manufacturer did the frame, I’d call that pretty solid evidence lol. There is no public evidence that they outsource main frame manufacturing to other, more well-known Chinese integrators such as Dengfu, Seraph, or Hongfu; rather, their previous experience in third-party manufacturing suggests that they specialize in the production and development of their own frames.
Ha! Exactly what I expected. I don't know why they're trying to hide it so bad, I get they all want to claim it's their own proprietary design, but LC is pretty well respected, it's not like they selected some low grade frame OEM and they're embarrassed to say who it is.Yeah so.... pretty damn sure that LC is the OEM. Proofs in the pudding, soon to be the glorius dirt I ride.

Exactly. LC was literally my preferred vendor for a emtb frame.... so just own it.Ha! Exactly what I expected.
